{Deck 5 - Main Lab}

Lieutenant Hunt walked into the Lab with an arm full of samples that he and Lieutenant Zolon had collected on the surface. Being they were from an unfamiliar planet Armen placed everything into a containment field for security reasons.

After thoroughly washing and disinfecting his hands he released the containment field and grabbed the rock samples that he had collected before reinstating the field once again. He carefully organized then into chronological order according to size and strata. After this laborious job was completed he was about to start on the soil samples that Cass had taken earlier when he heard a voice.

"Lieutenant Hunt.....so are we still on for dinner tonight" Cass queried seeing that it was getting towards the time of their supposed date and Armen didn't look like he was going to be leaving the Lab anytime soon.

He looked up and saw Cassandra standing a few feet away. He smiled "Ah....well....would it be ok with you if we did that some other time, I'd really like to get things setup so I can hit the ground running with all these samples" he asked.

"Ok so let me get this straight....you would rather spend your time with a pile of rocks and dirt rather than having dinner with me....I see how it is" she stated with a straight face since she wasn't about to let him off the hook that easily; she wanted him to squirm a little.

Armen looked into those beautiful eyes being completely lost for words at the moment and was about to speak and trip over his own tongue in the process.

After watching him squirm long enough she gave a light chuckle "Relax Lieutenant we can do it some other time....or not at all; it's your call" she stated being ok with the present situation.

Hunt found is voice again "Let me clarify, I definitely want to take you to dinner.....just not tonight that's all" he replied hoping she understood.

"That's fine Lieutenant, just let me know when" she responded "I'd offer to help but it looks like you have your own way of doing things and organizing" Cass said with a grin.

"Thanks for understanding and yes I do have my own methodology for doing things" he replied with a big grin.

"Well I let you get to it then" she commented then turned to go home since her shift was over and Armen didn't need her help.

He stood for a moment watching Cass exit the Lab then shook his head thinking "That probably was a wrong move on my part" then he dismissed the thought and went back to work getting things in order for tomorrow.
