It took a couple of hours to reach Star Base154, “Commodore the star base is on sensors now,” helm announced

“Take us out of warp, standard approach and hold at station keeping one light year away. Full stop,” Cyndi ordered “Let’s do it by the book even though I know no one is there. Hail the base.”

“Hailing,” Communications said

“Full stop commodore, one light year away from Star Base 154,” helm reported

‘On screen,” Cyndi ordered

The image of the star base and the three ships appeared on the main screen. The base was fully lit as were the ships.

“Commodore no response from the base on any channel,” Communications reported

“I didn’t think there would be but I had to try,” Cyndi commented “Put me on ship wide.”

“You’re on commodore,” communications answered

“Away team leaders, assemble your teams, shuttles are to be used to go to the ships and base, remember EV suits until it’s deemed safe. Report back to myself or Commander Green on what you find. Rivers, Money launch your fighters scout the area and the solar system and report back. Above all be careful. I don’t know what is over there or why they’ve stopped reporting.” Cyndi called "Now we wait and that's the worst part of this.
