Good Post Sean!

Cyndi and Paul walked into the lounge holding hands, the place was crowded, there was a karoke machine off to one side and one of the crew was singing at the top of her lungs, an old Klingon song, in Klingon and while her voice was not the best the woman didn’t care she was having fun and that was all that mattered. When she finished the place erupted into cheers and clapping. The woman selected a song from a Klingon opera and once again sang at the top of her lungs.
“She’s having fun,” Paul said as he and Cyndi found a seat.
“The crew needs this, the Ant beings, three deserted ships and a deserted star base, not to mention Brisco,” Cyndi commented “I had him sent to the most difficult and harshest penal colony I could. Let’s hope it’s enough.”
“I’m glad I was able to help and it felt good to be in command again,” Paul said “And no I don’t want a command again, I’m enjoying being retired.”
“Good because I enjoy having you all to myself,” Cyndi said smiling at her husband
The female officer had finished her Klingon opera and once again received a thunderous round of applause for her singing even though she didn’t have a good voice. All that mattered was she enjoyed it and so did nearly everyone in the lounge.
Paul got to his feet and winked at Cyndi when he saw her confused look. Walking to the karaoke machine, he ran through a listing of songs and found the one he was looking for, “I want to dedicate this song to my wife, your commander officer Cyndi. She’s the love of my life. It was sung at our wedding on her home planet and I want to sing it for her tonight It’s called
“Keeper Of The Stars.”
It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight
I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars
Soft moonlight on your face oh how you shine
It takes my breath away
Just to look into your eyes
I know I don't deserve a treasure like you
There really are no words
To show my gratitude
I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars
It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
When Paul finished there was another round of applause as he set the mic down and walked back to where Cyndi was seated, bending down he kissed her before resuming his seat.
“That was sneaky,” Cyndi said fighting to hold back the tears “Even after all we’ve been through.”
“I will always love you,” Paul replied taking her hand “Let’s eat.”
