Mission: Wedding Blues And Trouble
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: current

ON:

Commnder Green had been wandering the ship. What with the away team doing their thing, and allowing herself the luxury of staying aboard for once, Rogue casually walked along, her feet leading her into Sickbay. She was, after all, a comm call away from being back to the Bridge. Enterign the medical bays Green looked this way and that, glancing and not really allowing eyes to rest on anything in particular. Havign been an organic engineer before fully going into mechanical engineering, Ro was one who too often missed the pleasure of seeing to the pain of others in a good and positive way. Her eyes caught sight of the Andorian woman, the new arrival. What was her name? Oh yes, Sheyla. Approaching the blue-skinned woman, who had just finished administering to a child and their mother, Green came to a stop with a grin. "Sheyla, right? Doctor Sheyla, if data files are in any way correct. Rogue Green," she extended her hand to be shaken and her grin became a friendly smile. "Commander, and Number One for the USS Amandora."

Sheyla, after disinfecting her hands and putting her devices away in her engineer's vest turned medical smock, shook the offered hand. "The rank is Lieutenant JG, Commander. But, yes, Doctor is earned and on file." She let the handshake end abruptly, hoping this was not another officer who thought too highly of themselves and wanted everyone else to know it to.

"Has Sickbay heard anything beyond what the Bridge has heard, Doctor?"

"Not to my knowledge, Number One," answered Sheyla. "But, then again, since it is an away mission it stands to reason that they would call you first, anyway, before me."

Ro gave a chuckle. "Too true. Good on you, Doctor. Things are quiet so I wanted to come meet you."

Sheyla gave a nod. "Doctor Long has called over several times, sending us data on the hibernating capsules. Seems a lot of folks used that type of thing. So glad Andoria never saw that as needed."

Coming in through the same door as Commander Green, Lieutenant Ken Kudo entered Sickbay, and upon seeing the two women he gave a nod. "Ladies." His eyes went back to his personal palm PADD.

"It would seem that Sickbay is the place to be this time of night." Sheyla quipped.

Kudo gave a light laugh. "Pardon me, ladies, just seeing to anything related to Strategic Operations. And, truth be told, there is quite a nit to be conserned with on Amandora."

That caught Green's attention. "Such as?"

"Well, to start, personal communications," Kudo answered. "This is a Starfleet vessel. All incoming and outgoing transmissions are to be monitored. For the most part the computer can sift through the rubble, but personnel are supposed to be assigned to look for red flags. ALL red flags."

"And, that is being done," Green answered. However, it had been a while since she had checked on the validity of those transmissions.

"It is, yes, Commander." Kudo agreed, yet his redirecting said he had more to add. "However, as was said back in Earth's history; loose lips sink ships. Everyone, from CO down to lowly crew person, is under scrutiny at all times. Traitors can be found everywhere."

"So, we live in fear?" Asked Green, challenging him.

"Not at all. We live in comfort," answered Kudo. "We all trust each other, as it should be, and look out for each other. WE are the only family we have. So, if you don't mind, we need to reiterate the importance of classified data and not letting it leak out through innocent conversation."

Green could see his point. She grinned. "I'll put out another missive in regards to personal transmissions. Will that suffice, Mister Kudo?"

"For now, Commander, yes."

"Thank you," Green replied. "Send out your own missive, Lieutenant Kudo. Let them know I'm not the only one concerned over this."

"Done deal, Commander Green."

"Carry on, Mister Kudo." Green, having said that, made for the exit.

Sheyla gave a chuckle after Green had left, looking at Kudo. "Thanks. I owe you one. I really wasn't in the mood for a speech."

Kudo shrugged. "Wasn't doing it for your benefit, Doc. You need to pass on the same message. There's a new sheriff in town and all Starfleet regs will be adhered to. Pure and simple. Have a nice day." Kudo left Sickbay, leaving Doctor Sheyla with jaw agape.
