Mission:
Wedding Blues And Trouble
Location: Intel. Dept.
Timeline: current/somewhere in between
ON:
Doctor Sheyla made her way through the corridors of Amandora, her steps meaningful yet casual, as she was now in the role of Lieutenant Sheyla, her medical accolades not at the forefront of her mind. Arriving at her destination, the Intelligence spaces, She entered. Once within the main office area an officer in Intel grey stood and came over.
"Apologies, Lieutenant, but I can't let you go any further. Sensitive data, and all that, you understand."
"I do," Sheyla responded. "However, I am here to see Lt. McKeon." Her left hand came up and showed the PADD she had been carrying at her side. "I'm sure he will find this data interesting." Looking over the shoulder and passed the man in front of her, Sheyla could see McKeon through the window of his office. Her eyes went back to the sentry's.
The sentry gave a nod. "Wait here. I'll see if he's available." The man turned to go to the office.
Sheyla watched and waited impatiently. She was Andorian, after all, and the old 'hurry up and wait' always drove her nuts. But, she took in a breath through the mouth and let it out slowly through the nostrils to keep her casual.
Alister glanced up as the door to his office opened. He glanced out the window and gave a rough nod of his head before turning back to the computer built into his desk, “We both know a peek into your Cardassian files isn’t worth that favor,” he said speaking to the Romulan on the other end of the line.
As Sheyla was allowed into his office he gave a motion to the chair in front of his desk, “At best a peek into those files is worth a case.”
“Two cases,” the Romulan said with a slight scowl, “I hope you don’t try and hold onto that favor too long.”
Alister gave a shake of his head, “One case of the good stuff, your taste isn’t cheap and it’s not like I’m sitting on Earth at the moment.”
“Fine, one case,” the Romulan agreed, “But if he’s on the list I expect you to turn him over to us for questioning.”
“I’ll have to clear anything like that with the boss,” Alister replied, “I’ll get the case moving and should have a name for you to check soon.” He killed the comm before giving his nose a pinch, “Dealing with a Romulan makes me want to shoot something, put my head thru the wall, and drink all at the same time.” He gave himself a shake, “Sorry where I my manners, can I get you anything to drink Doctor?”
Sheyla, after being waved in by the subordinate Intel officer, entered the office, catching a little of what was said as she came inside. It was not her business and not why she was here. When Alister closed his call and then greeted her, Sheyla gave a pleasant smile. "I am fine, Mister McKeon. Thank you. It is a pleasure to finally meet you." She then sat down on the edge of the seat he had motioned towards, her torso and back straight as she did so. She held the PADD up nonchalantly, waving it a bit before letting the hand holding it to rest back on her thighs. "Just wanted to pass this along to Intel. It is all the data and information gleaned from interviewing the Cardassians brought out of stasis. Chief Nira felt that you needed a copy for your Intel files, Lieutenant."
"Not so much the questions, but if we have a name," Alister said leaning back in his chair, "I can get a peek into the database that the Klingon's and Romulans have on Cardassian personal. I might be able to extend that if I can find something to link the unknown aliens. A favor for a favor so to speak." He gave a shrug of his shoulders, "Of course it could come back to bite us in the butt if it's one of those names that Klingon Intelligence or the Tal'Shar want to have a long painful conversation with. So did our Cardassian guests give you a name?"
Sheyla gave an unmistakable nod of affirmation as she stood and placed the PADD before him on his desk, to peruse at his own leisure. She sat back down. "There is the initial Cardassian who awoke with the Quantion. His name is Peck, and as far as I know, he has no military or government affiliation. The other three do. Legate Perus, Gul Harden who is female, and Glin Tarsus. I've been wracking my brain about the name Perus. I've heard the name before but nothing has come to mind as of yet and I haven't researched it yet. My instincts tell me that he has a nefarious past. To what extent remains to be seen."
“A Legate,” Alister said pausing as he organized his thoughts, “The name doesn’t ring a bell with me but I’ll send those names to a couple of people that keep better track of high ranking Cardassians then I do.” He picked the PADD up, “I’ll send all the names onward. Can we assist any other way Doctor?”
"Not at the moment, Mister McKeon," Sheyla responded. "However, should I glean anything further that is not covered by medical privacy, I will let Intelligence know. It is my understanding that Security is busy with a death in the holodecks, and with guests, they are busy patrolling and standing guard over classified areas. Thank you for your time, though." She gave a friendly grin.
“Thank you for the information,” Alister said with a nod and a smile, “People tend to shut down when they see the collar of an intelligence officer. If you need anything don’t hesitate to ask.”
"I will do that," Sheyla said with a smile. "See you around, Alister." With that said the Andorian spun on her heel and exited.
