Mission:
Wedding Blues And Trouble
Location: Bridge and Cyndi's Quarters
Timeline: Current
ON:
After dealing with the Princess who was going to prove difficult to say the least, then the three Cardassian’s who were awake and fine. Cyndi was relieved they were so polite and not the least bit as hard to deal with as Princess Zoreen. That was a welcome relief. Cyndi had gone to the bridge to check on things, Lieutenant jg Johnson had the ship on course for Cardassia. With nothing pressing at the moment, Cyndi left Lieutenant Montgomery in command of the bridge with orders to contact her should anything arise that needed her attention, that she’d be in her quarters. Cyndi watched the bridge officers as they went on about his or her duties, knowing the ship was in good hands Cyndi left the bridge and headed for her quarters.
Paul looked up from the book he’d been reading when his wife walked in. Getting to his feet he walked over to her and gave her a kiss, “You look beat, bad day?”
“If you only knew,” Cyndi said pulling her phaser from her pocket, removed the power pack and placed it on the charger and loaded a fresh power pack before setting the weapon down and turning to face her husband.
“You have a couple of messages that came in, once you read them you can fill me in on things if you can,” Paul said
Cyndi took a seat at her desk, and opened the messages, it was from Ro regarding Ainkara and what had transpired along with her promotion to lieutenant junior grade. Smiling that was good news. Once she finished reading Ro’s report Cyndi filed it along with the commendations Ainkara had been given. Getting up from her desk Cyndi walked over to the couch and took a seat next to Paul and pulled off her boots.
“Your smiling it must be good news,” Paul commented “Can you tell me or is it classified?”
“Considering you’re a retired admiral there really isn’t anything that is classified where your concerned,” Cyndi commented as she filed him in on what she’d read from Ro.
Paul nodded “That is good news and Ainkara well deserves it as well.”
Cyndi nodded “That she does, we’ll rendezvous with her at Cardassia. Paul I’m going to need you to do me a favor.”
“Anything Cyndi you know that,” Paul replied
“I’m going to be holding a dinner for our guests, my officers and the guests, that will mean you and General Long won’t be attending. I’d like you to take the general to dinner.”
“I like Narla so it won’t be a problem,” Paul said “Besides I’d rather dine with her than that difficult Princess that you’ll be dealing with. She gives the royals a bad name.”
“That she does,” Cyndi agreed “Why don’t we go get a bite to eat before I return to the bridge. Between a murder guests aboard I just want to spend a little bit with you.”
Paul stood, offered Cyndi his hand as she put on her boots, took Paul’s hand, got to her feet, grabbed her phaser and tucked it in her pocket again and headed out with Paul
