Kristian and Tara were enjoying breakfast , the sun was just coming up setting the sky ablaze with colors vibrant, reds, oranges, yellows and pinks. The patio was in full bloom of different pants and flowers, butterflies and humming birds darted between the flowers as they drank the nectar from the blossoms. Several birdbaths lined the flowerbeds and various species of birds splashed and took baths in the birdbaths. The living glass plants cast a rainbow of colors as the sun climbed higher and the soft tinkling sounds from the glass plants were soothing.

“I’d forgotten about how much I love those glass plants,” Kristian commented as the gentle breeze made them tinkle “To think we had a couple on the ship, but they’re gone now.”

I know but the good thing Is we can get more as they’re only native here,” Tara commented as she finished her breakfast “That boy Jimmy how is he doing?”

“He’s missing his parents and he keeps telling me he has no one else,” Kristian said “He’s beside himself. I gave him something last night after we landed to help him sleep.”

“What’s going to happen to him if family can’t be found?” Tara asked

“I’ll try to get custody of him if we can’t find family as I don’t want to see him going to an orphanage,” Kristian replied “What are your plans for the day?”

“I plan to go check on that moon, I want to see how far they’ve come since my last visit,” Tara said “Last time I checked on them or got a report from mum they’d just discovered fire,”

“That’s been what now six months?” Kristian asked

“About that,” Tara answered as she finished her coffee “So I thought I’d fire up my shuttle and head there, cloak it and land on that rock outcropping and observe them for a few hours.”

“Let me know if they need medical attention,” Kristian said just as Jimmy walked up and took a seat between Tara and Kristian “How did you sleep?”

“Okay I guess,” Jimmy said looking around “Gee this place is awesome,” He looked at Tara “Kristian said your someone important here.You live in a castle, so what are you here? The Queen?”

Tara laughed “No, that’s my mum, I’m a lowly Princess. It’s a title nothing more, well not for a very long time.”

“Are you hungry?” Kristian asked as she nodded to several covered dishes on a nearby buffet “There’s scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, biscuits, doughnuts, orange juice and milk, help yourself.”

Jimmy got to his feet and walked over to the buffet, picked up a plate and filled it, the boy walked over and put his plate on the table while one of the servants brought him a tall glass of milk, he looked up at the woman “They make you do this?”

“No, I work for them, they’re good people and I’m happy here and cannot think of anywhere I’d rather work. “My name is Julie,” she looked at Tara and Kristian “Can I get either of you anything?”

“Thank you, no Julie,” Tara said

Julie nodded as she walked off humming a happy tune

“Jimmy do you know how to ride horses?” Kristian asked

“A little, I’m not vey good, why?” Jimmy asked as he continued to eat

“Well Tara has something she’s going to do and I was wondering if you’d like to see some of the planet and the best way is on horseback. We’ve got some really gentle ones. So what do you think? You feel like it?” Kristian asked

Jimmy nodded “I’d like to try, as long as if I get too scared we’ll stop,” Jimmy said

“Of course,” Kristian said

Tara got to her feet “I’ll catch up with you later, and Jimmy she’s a really good teacher and I’m glad you came with us.” Tara head out

Jimmy looked at Kristian “Can we go now?”

“Sure, we’re not far from the stables. We’ll go slow,”
