Post Number 23 Getting Ready To Get Some Sleep

Location: Planet Surface Inside A Guest Hut.

ON:

“It’s getting a little chilly, I’ll start a fire to warm the hut up,” Tara commented as she walked over to the wooden bin and selected some sticks, dried moss, several logs. Picked up the flint and carried everything to the fire pit, arranging the sticks in a tipi type, after arranging the dry moss in between the sticks Tara picked up the flint, knelt at the fire pit and set to work striking the flit against the dry moss. It took a couple of minutes but a spark and then a think plume of smoke could be seen, setting the flint asked Tara blew on the plume of smoke and in seconds a small fire could be seen, adding more dry moss the fire grew and licked greedly at the sticks. Soon a fire was going, adding some wood to it the fire took off and in no time a nice fire was blazing.

“Are you sure you’re not part Indian, lieutenant?” Cyndi asked

“No commodore, there is a moon at Amzock that like this planet is in the early stages of development. I have a blind set up where I can watch the inhabitants without being seen. I’ve watched them develop and learned to build a fire by watching them,” Tara said.

“The moon is protected and off limits,” Kristian commented “Only a very select few are permitted on the moon. I’ve treated some of them for injuries but am very careful so they can develop on their own just like these people.” Cyndi looked at her officers “Let’s get some sleep, I’ve never slept in a hammock before they look comfortable and the furs look warm.”
