Mission:
Character Development 7/26
Location: Bridge
Timeline: Present
Having handed control of main engineering to his team, Tuhjer headed up to the bridge to log in at the engineering station there for a change of scenery.
On exiting the turbolift, he glanced around the spacious bridge, locating the engineering station, he took a seat. Once logged in, he had the full engineering systems on his large display area, including all the diagnostic programmes currently running with constant updates.
He would greet the Commodore shortly, but he thought it best to have the latest information available should they request it.
Cyndi stepped onto the bridge, stood near the lift and watched her officers as they carried out their duties. She had a good cew. Seeing someone new and the engineering station she walked over. Keeping her voice low so not to disturb the bridge crew, "I don't think we've met.:
Tuhjer turned, looking up to the Commodore.
" No Ma'am. I'm Lieutenant JG Tuhjer Mil, your new Chief Engineer. I came up for a change of scenery as I can easily monitor things from up her as well. I am currently running a few diagnostics. Nothing to be concerned about as yet. Just some anomalus readings I spotted and thought best to make sure all was well with normal parameters. "
"Good work, it's a new ship. She's not been fully broken in yet. We've been on exploration assignments," Cyndi commented.
" Ah of course. She probably does need a good shakedown. Give her a good workout. That might resolve these odd readings. It could be as simple as the sensors are not fully calibrated and need to see a full range of readings".
"Lieutenant Herculoid is assignment chief science officer. She's been keeping sensors aligned. Once we pull into the star base, the ship will get a good going over. So far I have no complaints," Cyndi commented.
"Good to know. I will ensure I work closely with Lieutenant Herculoid regarding these odd readings. It could just be the internal sensors in the propulsion systems that are affected. "
"She's in the science lab," Cyndi said. "I'm sure if there is a problem, the two of you will find it. I'm looking forward to a little downtime. My husband is the commanding officer of the Star Base."
"Excellent. Once I am finished here, I will visit her. Downtime is always good, but should be spent well. I hope you have a good time. "
"I'm looking forward to it. My kids are there too," Cyndi replied "I'll still be available if the ship needs me."
"Sounds good. I will do my best not to disturb you unless it is essential. " Tuhjer replied.
Cyndi shook her head. "If the ship needs me then don't worry about bothering me, I'm sure my husband will have the same things with the star base,"
"He probably will. If the ship needs you, I will let you know. I best go visit Lieutenant Herculoid. That odd reading is back. Together we can figure it out."
"Keep me posted," Cyndi said.
" Yes ma'am. "
The scene ends.
