Piloting his own shuttle up Will Raymond handed the controls over to the ensign with him as he prepared to beam over to the Amandora.

" She is surely a beauty sir." the ensign said aloud.

" I will say . Oh the places we will go." Will replied quoting a Dr Seuss book.

" Energize..."

A few seconds later Will found himself on a platform in the hanger deck where he was greeted by a Klingon officer in a security uniform.

" Why did I beam here? " Raymond asked the officer.

" Protocol sir. All crew are being routed here first due to biological checks. The other transporter rooms are still being tested." the Lt replied.

" I am,Lt Commander William Raymond, Will for short. I am the Executive Officer. Has the Captain arrived yet?" Will asked.

" Yes she is on the bridge, awaiting you."

Will straightened his posture and headed to a lift.

" Computer? Bridge."

Will entered the bridge and dodging a few crews headed over to the Captains ready room. He had already met her but this time he was to be her first officer.

Pushing the chime he awaited her reply to enter.

"Enter," Cyndi called as she worked on programing her lap top.

" Captain Song just letting you know I had arrived. Some of the key staff are aboard did you want a meet and greet this soon or wait?" Will greeted and inquired.


"Please have a seat," Cyndi said "I'd like to wait until the final crew have reported aboard. There are still several officers and crew who have not arrived yet."

" I understand. This is a major send off. Amandora is gaining some real attention. Fleet news service wanted to interview me. I suspect your on their radar."

"If they are I've not heard a thing," Cyndi commented .

" I am observant of things like that. Is there anything I need to know Captain? I like to jump in with both feet," Will replied.

"Get with department heads and find out if they need anything. Make sure medical, security and the marines have what they need. I'll speak to Herculoid regarding science," Cyndi replied .

" Will do Captain. " Raymond smiled as he exited.

Cyndi turned to Kordell "Until the security chief arrives I need you to handle security. Are you up for it?"

" I am a Klingon Captain. I am always up for it. Everyday is a good day to die ." Kordell replied with honor. " The marines are aboard also. Are we expecting any other military forces?"

"There is going to be some fighters, they may already be aboard," Cyndi said "Otherwise I believe that's all we'll need what with the marines and the ship's security we'll be good. Fighters are an added bonus."

" Fighters yes Captain. They were sent up yesterday and are in the hanger deck. I am to meet with a Sergeant Dallas at 1400 to discuss security measures. Is there anything else Captain?" Kordell asked.

"I think we're good," Cyndi replied.

" With your permission Captain I hope to stay on. I have overseen the Amandora since the hull was moored into orbit. If not I will understand." Kordell added.

"Cyndi nodded "I'll approve your request. Welcome aboard, I'll make it official in a few mintes."

There was no thank you in Klingon but the humans used it so Kordell nodded.

"Do you have anything I need to be made aware of? If not I think we're good," Cyndi asked.

" No Captain . I will be at my station if needed." Kordell replied.

"Thank you," Cyndi said "Dismissed"
