Thw Intruder had taken advantage of Amethyst and now she lay unconscious as a result.
The trio of Kordell, Will and Security Officer Kahn quickly arrived on the scene. Seeing Amethyst on the ground Will rushed to her side.
" Amethyst wake up!" Will begged.
Kordell scowled and then looked around the room. Bending down he found a hyposet.
" Kahn I found something. Why would a Counselor leave a hyposet on the floor?" Kordell asked.
"She wouldn't," said Kahn as she tapped her combadge. "Medical team to the Counsellor's office." She tapped the badge off. "We'll need to cordon off the office Commander. It is now a crime scene. I would suggest moving your family into VIP quarters until we're finished. I will post armed sentries outside your door, day and night, until otherwise informed." The medical team rushed through the door, going over and attending to the downed officer.
Kordell exited the room and positioned himself at the door until relieved by ship security. He then stood in the door way. We have a problem the Marines are on the march. No doubt Captain Hurd is taking matters in his own hands." relayed Kordell.
Will listened but was more concerned with Amethyst. Picking her up he moved her to sickbay and onto a biobed.
Kahn put a CSI team on the office then stepped back into the corridor to follow the Commander. "Mister Kordell, we're not finished yet. Come along, please." She got in beside him as they followed the alleged victim and her spouse.

Amethyst stirred slightly but she didn’t wake up. Whatever she’d been given was keeping her firmly unconscious.
Kristian had just finished updating a chart when the first officer entered and laid his wife on a bio-bed. Puzzled Long grabbed her medical tri-coder and rushed over and scanned her "What happened?"
" Amethtst didn't show for the briefing. We found her in her office unconscious." Will exclaimed.
"The drug that was used is a very strong one, I can counter it with a strong stimulant or I can let her wake up on her own. I've only seen this drug used a handful of times and it's been banned by Starfleet medical. I'd like to know who injected her and where it was gotten from," Kristian commented.
Will looked at Kristian unaware of Liza behind him.
" Amethyst needs to wake up. We need to know if she saw who did this."
"I'll be right back," Kristian said as she walked over to a locked cabinet, opened it and removed a vial, locked it again and walked back over to where Amethyst was, picking up the hypo she loaded the stimulant and pressed it against Amethyst's neck. "It will take a couple of minutes for this to take effect."
As they spoke Liza got in close to Commander Raymond and began to run a tricorder scan of his entire body, from the top of his head to his boot soles.
Kristian had seen Liza scan Will, "What do your scans show?" Kristian asked
"Forensics, Doctor." Explained Kahn, and why she was scanning. "I am examining his castoff so that we know who who is who to eliminate Mister Raymond as a suspect. Everyone who had been in that room before CSI arrived, will undergo the same scans, including myself."
Moments later there was groan then Amethyst awoke sitting bolt upright on the biobed with a gasp. She sat looking around for a moment. “Will?” She looked at her husband.
"Take it easy," Kristian said "Will's here and I want you to lie back."
Amethyst nodded and did as Kristian requested. “I ... was in my office. The door kept opening and closing.” She paused. “There was a voice, it called me. Then there was a ... child’s voice. It wasn’t Kal. Last thing I remember I was grabbed from behind and ...” she shook her head. “That’s all I remember.”
Will could not imagine his son had done this to his mother.
" Imzadi I am here. You are safe now."
Amethyst nodded and offered a more relaxed smile. "It was a child's voice, but an adult figure in the dark. I tried to back away but whoever it was, was just too quick."
Two Marines took point outside Amethyst’s door.
“As much as it makes me feel safer, is that really necessary?” Amethyst looked at her husband. “I’m not sure if I was the real target, if I was I’d probably be dead right now. I don’t think someone wanted me at that staff meeting.”
Will lookes to see two marines posting guard where Kordell had once been. Moving to the door Will spoke to one of the corporals and then returned.
" Captain Hurd has ordered his marines to post watch. Amethyst I need to speak to Song. You will be safe here." he assured her as he prepared to leave.
“Will ...” Amethyst gave her husband a concerned glance. “Be careful, we don’t know who this person will go after next.”
" You're right. Lt Kahn have security guard my children and Christina our nanny." Will said going out the door.
"Aye, Sir." Kahn tapped her badge. "Security, Kahn. Send an armed team to collect the Raymond children and nanny, and keep them together in the closest VIP suite to Security."
"Yes, Sir. Assigning a team now."
"Thank you, Kahn out." The transmission cut automatically as she looked back to the others. "I don't like this kind of crap on a Starfleet vessel. If this turns out to be some personal vendetta, my Chief log will be extremely scathing, to say the least. If that is even a hint of an option, spit it out now." Her eyes traveled the room, making sure to recognize everyone.
"If it's not a vendetta I'd like to know how they bypassed security to gain access to the holo=deck controls," Kristian commented "She'll be safe in sick bay, I've got a phaser in my office and I am prepared to use it if I have to. But I doubt anyone will get past the marines out there."
Amethyst breathed a sigh of relief knowing her family would be safe, and that she’d be safe too. The whole experience was a stressful one and the stimulant Kristian has given her to wake her was slowly ebbing away leaving her feeling tired. She lay back down on the biobed to close her eyes and rest.
