Master Sergeant Dallas quickly assembled three squads and awaited Captain Hurds arrival.

" Attention to orders." Dallas yelled still nursing the ass whipping from his bout with Captain Hurd earlier.

Walking in, Hurd said, "At ease everyone." Sweeping his gaze across his men he nodded and continued. "As most, indeed all of you know, somebody tampered with the Holodeck safeties during the MMA match, resulting in my injury and the death of Riggs". "Rest assured we will find that person and make them pay dearly for the loss of our Brother in Arms." Clearing his throat he continued, "Right now we have a more pressing matter, Lt. Raymond is missing, not awnsering comms, and it is my assumption she is in danger" "Our mission Marines, is to find her, and eliminate the threat, now", Hurd said in a booming voice, "Can I count on you?"

" Sir yes sir." sang the choir of marines.

Dallas nodded to his CO.


"I must be going deaf, because all I heard was a whisper, I said, can I count on you?", He finished, a broad smile on his face.

" SIR YES SIRRRRRR" they yelled.

"Good", Hurd said with a beaming smile. "I need one squad on me, one squad searching the ship top to bottom, and MSGT Dallas, I need you to take a squad and do overlapping searches of areas she may be, or recently was".


"WIll DO SIR." replied Dallas. " Squad one follow the Captain. Squad two begin perimeter searches. Squad three you're with me."

"Alright", Hurd said shouldering his weapon, "Let's move out and remember people, time is not on our side."

You heard the Captain....MOVE OUT." yelled MSG Dallas.

The marines dispersed with their orders clear.
