Cyndi watched Lieutenant Saunders leave and smiled, he was a good officer and she was glad to have him. She'd received the report of the simulated saucer separation and nodded. While that was something she hoped never to have to do, the simulation had proven that the separation would work if the need arose. Sending a response to Captain Hurd, Lieutenant Hastings, Doctor Bjorgo and Lieutenant Kahn thanking them for taking part in it.

Getting up from her desk Cyndi walked to the window in her ready room and took a sip of coffee as she looked out into space. Things had turned out differently than she’d planned on. What had started out to be a simple assisting in setting up a new Starbase had turned into something far differently, two dead marines, a major general had arrived at her request, what was supposed to have been a friendly crew moral competition and gone horribly wrong. An attack on the ship’s counselor just to name some of the issues she’d had to deal with. But things while not what had been expected had turned out to show what kind of officers and crew she’d been blessed with.

Cyndi finished her coffee and after informing her bridge officers that if she was needed she’d be in her quarters. Walking from the ready room Cyndi paused long enough to watch her officers as they carried out his or her assigned tasks even if they were not in space certain things still needed to be monitored. Smiling Cyndi headed for her quarters, once there she changed into civvies and took a seat on the couch and called the bridge to patch her through to Klavor she could talk to her husband.
