Returning to Sickbay after the briefing, Tore looked about as he entered the medical chamber. Seeing Doctor Long across the room as she saw to making sure all the equipment was charged. So, stepping in next to her Tore gave a grin as she glanced his way. "Hello, Kris. If you would be so kind I need you to select who you think would be beneficial on a medical away team. A team that will include you and myself, if need be." His grin got bigger. "Any ideas?"

"Several come to mind," Kristian said "Nurses Taylor Jones, Andrew West and there is a very young but good resident, Samson Ocean. This is his first assignment but he's showing a lot of promise. I'm also going to assume you want Nira along too?"

Bjorgo gave a chuckle." You know me too well, Doctor." His face remained lighthearted. "Yes, she will be coming along as my assistant. Something tells me that her extrasensory abilities will come in handy. Aside from Nira, go ahead and inform those you recommended that they are marked for away team duty. With the civil unrest no one goes unarmed, but they will remain on a stun setting."

Kristian nodded "I'm no stranger to handling weapons. I'll also make sure we have plenty of extra power packs along just in case we need them."

"Exactly," agreed Bjorgo. "Let's all gear up properly for away team duty when we're called. There should be an infirmary inside the embassy but we nay need to set up a triage area if things go sideways during negotiations."

As he spoke Tore input the names that Long had suggested as his away team. Once it was compiled he then sent a copy of the manifest to LCDR Bird.

"I'll make sure they're all up to date on their qualifications with phasers, mine's current," Kristian said "I hope it doesn't come down to taking a life but if need be while I don't want to I can and will if I have to."

Doctor Bjorgo gave her an even gaze. "As will I. With me, once I become violent with one, it tends to spill over to more."

As he spoke Nira had entered Sickbay, seeing Long and Bjorgo together she came over as Tore finished his sentence. "Make dem sleep."

"Make them sleep?" Bjorgo raised a quizzical eyebrow at the lavender Puazi.

"Seh seh (yes)." Nira looked back and forth between Kristian and Tore. "Ship has gas for sleep. Anesthazine. Make gas bombs and put dem to sleep if they fight."

"That will work on the ship Nira, but we're talking on the planet and if we put everyone to sleep on the ship that's not a good idea," Kristian replied.

Nira cocked her head in confusion. "Not of ship, Doctor Kris. On planet. Ship has anesthazine security system in place already. Set up gas mortars. No kill, but knock out or make dizzy. Enemy neutralized."

Bjorgo cut in a moment. "The embassy has an armory, Nira. If that tactic can be employed we will use it. Our concern," he chinned to Long and then motioned at himself. "Is the medical needs of those within the embassy, and the community. We only fight when we have no choice and, to protect our patients."

"Fighting is not something we doctors like to do Nira, but we will if we have to. I have killed when I've had no other choice. I'd rather stun them and make sure they're secured. No one wants to kill anyone, I hate taking a life," Kristian said gently "We also have no idea what condition the embassy is in and won't until we get there."

"Exactly, Kris," said Tore. "I mean, the briefing told us that everyone wanted to remain friends with the UFP, yet our embassy is under duress? It makes no sense and the information given is weak and will get people killed. I have been running it through my mind from several angles and I don't see any allies for us unless they get what they want. On any other Federation world that is called terrorism. The threat of violence unless demands are met."

Nira simply stood there with a PADD in her hand, turning over over and over in her grasp as she examined it. Her idea had been considered so she was content to have offered a solution.

"Do you understand?" Kristian asked Nira "This world is at war and we're here to help and yes if need be fight, I've seen fighting first hand and even taken as I said a life. Not something a doctor wants to do but given the right reason I will."

Nira set the PADD aside, then looked Doctor Long straight in the eyes. "I am Puazi. We don't kill without reason. But, when enemy arrives they must be destroyed if they fight to destroy me."

"That was Doctor Long's point, Nira." He gave a grin to both of them. "As Starfleet, we will beam down with weapons on stun, except for the marines. Keeps casualties down to a minimum, for all sides."

"I go get ready." Nira gave Tore a hug, grasping the back of his head gently as she touched her forehead to his in a gesture of love and respect, similar to great apes on Earth. She turned and looked at Kris, a crooked smile on her face. She held her arms out askance as she did so. "Hug?"

Bjorgo caught Kristian's eye, trying to keep from smiling. If nothing else Nira was a very loving being. in her mind this was a tribe, the Amandora tribe, and all deserved to be treated with love and respect. He was behind Nira's left shoulder so the Puazi could not see the look of amusement on his face that Long could.

"I love hugs," Kristian said hugging Nira "You can hug me anytime you need one, or feel I need one."

Nira's demeanor went from loving adult to that of an adolescent instantly as she gave a light squeal of excitement and hugged Kris again, this time doing as she had done with Tore; forehead to forehead. "I 'see' you," she said softly before stepping back with a big smile. "I go." She trotted out the door.

Bjorgo had watched her leave and then looked back at Long. "She trusts you, Kris. Good job. I have added your recommended personnel to the roster. Now, we sit and wait until we get called."

"I like her," Kristian said "She's intelligent yet still comes across childlike. We can learn a lot for each other."

That caused a light laugh to spring forth. "Ohhh, you have no idea, Doctor." His chuckling subsided. "But, yes, she is brilliant in her own way and why I invited her to be my assistant in Sickbay and elsewhere. Gives her focus and she learns our ways as a proper envoy would." Kris nodded to him in understanding. "Anyway, let's get the medical away gear prepped, then we'll add firearms once in the transporter room. Carry on, Doctor Long, I'll be in my office." He spun on a heel and off he went.
