Post Number 21 Arriving At A Settlement

Kristian beamed down to just outside of a settlement, not wanting her field med kit discovered, hid it in the folds of her tunic, picking up some dust in her hands Kristian closed her eyes and tossed it at her face and then wiped some away. She was unsure when Tore would join her or if he’d join her.

Kristian headed for the settlement, she’d been somewhat lucky to have beamed down to a location that wasn’t quite as hot as other places she could have beamed down to. But the conditions were still far from ideal and it was hard to imagine anyone living in some of these conditions. Walking into the settlement she spotted several Jem Hadar soldiers patrolling with phase rifles and makeshift spears. The Cardassians were living in what reminded her of crippled and disabled space craft. They consisted of shuttles which showed the effects of the battles that had taken place; several crashed ships were seen dotting the landscape as well as the shuttles. These where what people were living in and it struck a cord as Kristian remembered the battle on her own planet when the Romulans had invaded and taken control of Amzock until they fought and gained their own freedom.

It didn’t take her long to see that there were wounded and sick both Cardassian and Jem Hadar, while she wanted to treat them Kristian knew she’d have to be very careful until she gained the trust of the Cardassians. How and why they’d been injured was a bit of a mystery unless the injuries were the result of fights between captors and captives.
