Post Number 3 Needed Break

Cyndi and Paul left ten forward and headed for the shuttle bay, Brent being three Cyndi didn’t want to transport down but rather take a shuttle to the surface. Walking into the shuttle bay Paul walked over to a shuttle, keyed in the access code and dropped the ramp allowing Cyndi and Brent to board.

“I’ll fly if that’s okay?” Paul said taking a seat in the pilot’s seat. “I figure it’s only a short flight and I’m sure you want some mummy time with kiddo.”

Cyndi nodded “That and you’re a better pilot than I am,” taking a seat Cyndi strapped her son in while Paul did the flight check and once clearance was given launched the shuttle and headed for the planet.

The flight took less than five minutes and Paul set the shuttle down next to the house Cyndi had booked. Shutting down the shuttle he got up and walked back to where Cyndi and Brent were. Opening the overhead compartment he removed the duffel’s while Cyndi removed their son’s restraints.

Walking from the shuttle Brent spotted the small pond that was in front of the house and headed for it. Stopping at the fence he watched the two black swans that swam in the pond. Looking back as his parents walked up.

“Grandma said how much you liked swans so when mummy booked this house I checked for swans,” Cyndi said kneeling next to him

Paul watched Cyndi and Brent and smiled he was glad to have had the little boy brought out. Heading for the house Paul put the duffels in the respective rooms before returning to where Cyndi and Brent were who by now was feeding the swans and giggling the whole time. “How are my two favorite people?”

Cyndi walked over to her husband and placed her arm around his waist “Thank you for getting Brent out here. I’ve missed him terribly.”

Paul leaned down and kissed her “My pleasure, the look on your face when he ran onto the bridge was worth it. I know I broke every regulation in the book but it was worth it. He’ll be going back in a few days but your parents agreed you both needed this and he was asking for his mummy.”

Paul watched Cyndi and Brent and smiled he was glad to have had the little boy brought out. Heading for the house Paul put the duffels in the respective rooms before returning to where Cyndi and Brent were who by now was feeding the swans and giggling the whole time. “How are my two favorite people?”

Cyndi returned the kiss and hugged her husband “Let’s head into town and do some shopping and then I’ll make dinner, put him down for the night and we can have some time to ourselves without the ship needing me.”

“I like that idea,” Paul said taking her hand “Brent! Come on we’re going into town.”

Brent ran over pointing to the swans as he took his mother’s hand

“We’ll be back and you can feed them then okay?” Cyndi said

Seeing his nod they walked toward the town that was not far away to do some shopping, with Cyndi picking up things to make dinner with along with some other things they’d need.
