Where is everyone? I sent ya’ll a description of Klavor and no one is posting
ON:
Cyndi had Brent down for a nap and was sitting on the front porch sipping a cold lemonade, setting the glass down on the table. Cyndi leaned back and closed her eyes. T’Mia’s suggestion had helped. The nightmares were not as bad but they were still there.
Paul walked out from the house, leaned down and kissed Cyndi on the cheek.
Opening her eyes she smiled at her husband “As much as I hate to admit it, I could get used to this. It’s peaceful, no stresses of command and making decisions that could get someone killed, risking a firefight and worrying over did I make the right decisions,” Cyndi commented
Paul took a seat on a chair next to hers “Are you saying you’re going to resign? No one would blame you after what happened.”
“No, I’m not resigning, while it’s peaceful here I know if I were to resign and stay here my parents would want me to step up more as next Queen and I’m just not ready for that. Once this mess with Usher is settled and Klavor is back in good graces with the Federation, Doctor Long clears me for active duty we’ll pull out. My question is are you coming with me or are you going to stay here with Brent?” Cyndi asked
Paul looked up at the sky for a few minutes before turning his attention back to his wife, reaching over he took her hand and held it “I’m going with you. Speaking of Usher did you and your officer find anything?”
“We did, I believe we’ve found the proof needed, I’ve sent word to Commander Kahn I’d like to see her. I’ve not heard from her but we are on shore leave so she easily could be off ship and doing something,” Cyndi commented
“Mind if I make a suggestion where your first officer is concerned?” Paul asked
“Of course, you know I value your opinion and suggestions,” Cyndi said
“She didn’t hesitate to take command the minute you were taken and pushed things to the edge to get you back. I think she needs a promotion to full commander, she’s more than proven herself. Not just this but other things too,” Paul replied
“Cyndi nodded “I’ve thought about that and I’ll send a recommendation to Starfleet Command and see if they agree.”
Paul stood, held out his hand to Cyndi “Come with me, Brent’s napping, I called the sitter. I want to spend some time with you, no distractions. Just the two of us, then when Brent gets up the three of us can head to the underwater city for dinner and then to the safe moon for a relaxing family time.”
Taking his hand Cyndi got to her feet, placed her arm around her husband’s waist as they headed off for a walk along a trail. The trail eventually opened onto a clearing where a waterfall cascaded down into a clear pool.”
“I’ve never seen this before,” Cyndi murmured as she sat on a large rock
Sitting next to her “I found it by accident yesterday,” Paul said “I packed a picnic for us. I’ll be right back.” Paul got to his feet, walked off a short distance and returned with a picnic basket, spreading a cloth on the ground. He then proceeded to lay out the food which consisted of sandwiches, coleslaw, wine and pastries.
“How did you do this without me knowing?” Cyndi asked picking up a sandwich as Paul poured the wine and handed her a glass.
“I have my ways,” Paul said kissing her “Let’s have lunch and just enjoy each other,”
