James and Heather were finishing their breakfast when Heather asked "Do you think we could down on the surface and spend some time looking around....I'd like to get off this Ship while we have the chance" she commented.

James finished his coffee before answering "Yes, I think we can do that if you'd like.....I wouldn't mind getting off the Ship myself" he replied with a smile "Matter of fact why don't I clean up here and you go hop in the shower."

Heather smiled and walked over and gave James a kiss "Thank you for being so understanding....that's why I love you so much" then she turned and headed off to the shower.

Shortly they both were showered, dressed, and ready to leave. When they reached the Transporter Room James asked the Operator "Can you beam us down to the Town Center on Klavor."

"No problem Lieutenant" came the response.

The couple materialized in the Town Center when James asked "So where would you like to start."

Heather looked around "Let's start over there with the Sweets Shoppe.....I'd love something sweet to take back home" she stated with a smile. James motioned for her to lead the way.

When they entered the Shoppe Heather looked around....the expression on her face reminded James of a kid in a candy store. After a bit she found something that caught her eye....a sweet dough with cinnamon swirls throughout and a sugar glaze over the entire thing. She walked up to the counter "Could I have six of those delightful pastries" she asked and soon had the treats.

Meanwhile James was looking everything over and saw something that reminded him of scones....something that he had not had since a child. So he decided to buy six to take back home. The couple left the Shoppe each carrying a sweet treat to savor later.

As the couple continued on their way James caught the smell of seafood lofting through the air. A few stores away he saw a sign "Jeb's Seafood".....looking at Heather "Are you hungry.....I thought we might stop in here and try some of the seafood....it sure smells good."

Heather smiled "I am a bit hungry and yes the seafood smells really good." The couple entered the eatery and grabbed some seats at a table.

Moments later a lady came over to their table "Welcome to Jeb's...what can I get you folks." Since there were menu boards on the wall Heather ordered first "I'll take the deep fried clam basket and a water" she stated then the lady looked to James "And I'll have the deep fried scallop basket and a water also." The lady smiled "Good choices....I'll be back with your orders in a few moments."

James looked around to see some sort of nets hanging on the walls and also tools that looked like they were instruments used in fishing....the place had a nice vibe to it.

A few minutes later the lady returned with their food and drinks "If there is anything else please don't be afraid to ask" and she turned and went off.

James tried his food "Oh my....this is so good" he stated chewing and enjoying every bite "So how's yours."

Heather gave a thumbs up to James sine she was too busy enjoying her food. A few minutes later "Yes...mine tastes fantastic..I almost didn't want to stop eating to answer you" she said with a chuckle.

After they had finished their meal the couple left and spent the rest of the day browsing thru more Shoppes at a leisurely pace holding hands but not really buying much; just enjoying feeling actual ground under their feet.

It was late in the afternoon when James looked at Heather "So you ready to go back home yet" he asked.

Heather gave him a kiss and smiled "Yes I'm ready and thank you so much for this day out."

He kissed her back "Your welcome sweetheart....anything to make my girl happy" then tapping his Comm "Transporter room...two to beam back to the Ship....."
