< Bridge >

Lt Odac Yova rushed quickly to the bridge and settled the new engineer in for duty.

" Well here you go Clancy. Your seat, your console and all the readings are nominal. Please keep it that way." Yova told him.

Clancy blushed at his first choice of words, but opted to re-work his phrasing. "I understand Sir. This isn't my first time on a bridge, it just my first time with a beautiful of a woman as this Galaxy Class starship is. I will treat her well like aby good engineer should."

He had taken his seat, settled in alright, and turned slightly. "I brushed up on the control layout last night. I spent hours in the holodeck running simulations as well. I wanted to make sure everything would go smoothly."

" It won't but that is okay that is why we train. I will be in engineering if you need me." Yova replied.

Clancy smiled a bit. "That is true. I probably shouldn't get too ahead of myself. We're Starfleet, we encounter strange things and deal with the weird on a daily basis. Hardly anything ever goes as planned."

The younger engineer nodded. "If I need anything, Sir, I will definitely let you know. Thank you."

" Great. I have to go see the 2nd officer about a new armory. " Yova replied.

< Hanger Deck >

Hurd was pacing his office, waiting on the Engineer to arrive to discuss the new High Security Armoury he wanted built.

After a rush down and asking a private Yova found Hurds office.

" Major Hurd ...Chief Yova from Engineering. What are you needing sir?"

"I require either a newly built, or retrofit high security armoury", Hurd replied kindly. "This having the purpose of storing heavy weaponry, explosives, and secret technology that cannot be stored in a traditional armoury". Smiling, he continued, "Ideally, it would have a separate area for explosives with heavier fire suppression and security feilds, and be able to contain an accidental detonation should something go bang when it shouldn't". "Overall, this armoury should have the highest security systems repaired n existence, and be as impervious to outside intrusion as possible". Pausing, he asked, smiling, "Thoughts?"

" These old ships can be refitted but to make such a refit while deployed are very hard to do. It would be wonderful if we could find a space dock.Saying that I don't believe in can't Major. Let me do some research.." Yova replied.
Smiling, Hurd said, calmly, "Thank you." "I always knew you Starfleet Engineers could do wonders, and you just reinforced that"

" Flattery will get you everywhere Major. I think we can make you an armory that works.I will send you some schematics and ideas? Are you wanting it in the star drive or saucer section. Of course all remodels must come with command approval, from the Commodore. " Yova replied. " I will run these schematics by her for you."


Off
