Kristian after spending the past two days with her parents had returned to the ship to help her mother pack. As they walked to the transporter room “Mum I wish you and dad could stay longer.”
“As do I Fera, but you know how Starfleet is, your father has orders and I need to get back to work as well. I’m just glad your commodore is okay. Speaking of her when are you going to certify her fit for duty?” Narla asked
“I’m going to beam down to the planet and see her, I won’t know until I see and talk to her,” Kristian replied as they walked into the transporter room.
Narla hugged her daughter before stepping onto the transporter pad, looking to the operator “Beam me over to the North Star.”
“Yes sir general,” the ensign said, in seconds Narla was gone.
Kristian fought back the tears as she walked to the starboard observation lounge and watched her dad’s ship as it powered up, backed out of orbit and left the planet. Turning Kristian headed to sick bay and packed a field kit. Picking it up Kristian returned to the transporter room. “Do you have the coordinates for the commodore’s house on the surface?”
“I do doctor,” the ensign answered
Stepping onto the padd “Energize,” Kristian said

Kristian materialized in front of Cyndi's home. It suited her, big porch complete with a swing, a couple of chairs and a table, nice green grass with a rock garden containing various flowers and some greenery. The scent was light, hummingbirds, butterflies and moths swooped in and out of the flowers. Smiling Kristian made her way to the front door and knocked.
Cyndi hearing the knock on the door walked to it and opened it. "Kristian welcome, please come in," Cyndi stepped back to let her in.
Kristian walked in and looked around the living room, off on one end was a large stone fireplace, a couch, loveseat and two recliners were arranged in the room, a coffee table was positioned between the furniture. "Your home is beautiful commodore."
"Thank you, Paul made the furniture, my dad and a few of his friends built the fireplace," Cyndi said "Family built the house and gave it to Paul and I as a wedding gift when I made it clear I was not planning on living in the Palace, at least not until I have to."
"It suits you commodore," Kristian said
"Please have a seat and tell me what brings you here?" Cyndi replied taking a seat in a one of the chairs
Kristian took a seat across from her "This is official, since I'm the one who placed you off duty. How are you feeling? I read the report from T'Mia and I know she's cleared you, but medically it's up to me to clear you for active duty,"
"I need to get back to work,I'm bored, granted being home and spending time with my son is what I need. I'm feeling fine, I'm not hurting anymore," Cyndi commented
"Let me run some scans on you and if I like what I see I'll clear you," Kristian said pulling out her medical tri-coder and carefully scanned Cyndi from head to toe. Once done she looked at the readings and then over to Cyndi "I'll clear you for duty. The scans are good and the injuries have healed nicely."
"Thank you Kristian, I've been reading over the reports and I have a message out to speak to Commander Kahn about the claims from Usher."
"I hope it's good news," Kristian said
"Very good news," Cyndi answered "She'll need to relay it to Admiral Stone but yes it's very good news. I'd do it myself but as my husband reminded me I have to be neutral in this."
"And he's right, you do," Kristian agreed "You, myself and my cousin are in a difficult position and it makes it hard when it's our home planet."
"Have you had chance to enjoy the planet yet?" Cyndi asked
"I have, mum, dad and I spent a few days here before dad's ship pulled out. Mum left when he did," Kristian replied getting to her feet "I'll let you get back to your down time, but your good to return to duty. I'll get this filed with Doctor Bjorgo."
Cyndi got to her feet as well. "Thank you again doctor,"
Kristian nodded and headed out, but not before looking at the picture of Cyndi and her husband taken on their wedding day in the Palace gardens.
