Cyndi had received word that Major Hurd had been away for some training at the request from General Long. He was now back on the ship and Cyndi was anxious to see what kind of training the general had sent him on. Tapping her com-badge "Major Hurd please report to my ready room."

Hearing the Commodore calling for him, Hurd tapped his combage and said, "On my way". A few minutes, and turbolift rides later, he had arrived at the Commodore's Ready Room. Straightening his uniform, He e tapped the door chime and in waited for permission to enter.

"Come in," Cyndi called moving the recent picture of her son aside

Walking in, Hurd saluted and said, "You wanted to see me ma'am?"

Cyndi returned the salute "Please have a seat and tell me how the training the general sent you on went."

Sitting down, Hurd smiled and said, "It was interesting". Pausing for a moment he continued, "She sent me on a refresher course at Sniper School, couple of leadership classes, a field medic training course, and she also sent me to EOD school." "All in all, it was rather interesting".

"If she's had you trained as a field medic I think you need to inform Doctors Bjorgo and Long. The rest of your training are you planning on putting your officers through it? I know there has been a lot of comments since my kidnapping. None of which was anyone's fault on the ship," Cyndi said

Hurd raised his eyebrow, and said, calmly, "What sort of comments?"

"The most comments was how easy it was and I reminded them I'm the only Klavorian aboard, all that had to be done was to scan for a Klavorian lifesign," Cyndi answered

"I see", Hurd said calmly. "So, what are your orders, and do you need me to correct or discipline any of the crew for actions or conduct unbecoming?", Hurd said flashing a wide, somewhat devious grin.

"No, that's been handled. What I need and want you to do is get the marines in shape and ready for anything I may get us into," Cyndi commented

"It will be done", Hurd said. "So what exactly are you planning to get us into so can plan some training scenarios".

"We have no orders as of yet. But I'd like you to whip your marines into shape, get them trained for any type of ground assault that you can think of. I want them ready for anything. How fit are they? Do you need to have them run laps on the marine deck?" Cyndi asked

Hurd laughed. "With respect Ma'am, my Marines run a minimum of 27 Laps around the deck per day, 300 Pushups, 300 Situps, 300 Push and Pullups, 400 Jumping Jack's, and each of us can push and and pull, at bare minimum, 250 pounds, and the like". "We are all very fit, very ready." And as for any kind of Ground Assault, well, let's just say, as you know, I have a very, very creative mind."

"Go for it major, and even though the pilots do not fall under your command so to speak I'd like you to speak with Rivers and see how they are and if you think they need more work as well," Cyndi replied
