{CSO's Office}

James was sitting at his desk with a nice hot cup of coffee as he signed into his Terminal.....a 'high priority' message came up from Lieutenant JG Nix Dunjen which read " Lieutenant McTavish, enclosed is a copy of all of the data and simulations that I was able to copy from the Research Computer on Quagmire....the data looks catastrophic in nature, therefore your analysis is crucial."

The Lieutenant opened the file to be greeted by hundreds of pages of information. Since this was sent by the Infiltration Specialist marked 'high priority' James figured this definitely needed his undivided attention.....and his attention it would get. "One thing about Dunjen she doesn't mince words and gets right to the point" he thought to himself with a grin on his face.

James spent the next few hours going through every page making notations along the way of the ones he deemed important to go back to and study. By the nature of the information James finally would get some use from the Space Studies that he had taken months ago.

After reading over the noted pages for hours James was horrified at what he was reading....could a specie or species be this cold and devoid of any kind of feeling or principles for this type of destruction of life.

James needed a second opinion....tapping his Comm "Lieutenant Heather McTavish please come to the CSO's Office" came the request.

Moments later Heather walked in and seeing her husband's expression she knew something was amiss "James what's going on...and that look on your face" she stated.

James smiled "Am I that transparent....take a seat I need a Biological perspective on this" he replied. Heather sat as James started to explain what he had found.

Heather thought for a moment "So what your telling me they are trying to make a weapon that totally destroys a Planet and every living thing on it with a torpedo armed with antimatter" she asked hoping she had heard wrong.

James let out a long sigh "It looks to be that way....and if their successful in building this thing...the whole galaxy could be in danger" he replied.

Heather had a pained look on her face "So do you think they can actually build this thing and have it work" she asked.

"From the simulations and data that I've read over....as much as I hate to admit it....I think they're well on their way to constructing a successful weapon" James stated wishing he was wrong.

"You do know that no living being, plant or animal could ever survive something like this" she replied wishing that what James had told her wasn't true, then she paused "James what are you going to do."

"I'm going to send a full report to Command and they'll have to figure out what their next move is going to be....I don't envy them dealing with this" James concluded.

Heather smiled trying to make James feel better "Neither do I" she commented.

He smiled back "Thanks for your input....and for listening....that's all I needed so you free to return to what you were doing and I'll see you tonight at home" James said.

Then Heather whispered "Ok sweetheart I'll see you at home then...and I'm always here to listen" she stated as she stood and went back to Lab 5.

James grabbed another cup of coffee then sat to write up his finding and send it off to Command.

Subject: Data Analysis

After spending hours going over the data and simulations provided by Lieutenant JG Nix Dunjen here are my findings:

The weapon is a torpedo type weapon powered by, what looks like, a modified slip stream drive powered by Benamite Crystals capable of extreme long range deployment.

The function of said weapon is to penetrate a Planet's crust and, by the use of a fusion reactor, would be able to deploy a specified amount of antimatter which would cause the Planet to implode from the inside out thereby destroying all life forms.

Although this is still in the research phase the probability of success, by the simulation data, would appear to be high. It is my opinion that a weapon of this magnitude is a very real threat to the entire galaxy.

With Respect,

Lieutenant James McTavish
Chief Science Officer
USS Amandora
