Post Number 38 Reports And Another Ship

" Commodore while on leave I ventured to the mineral moon. My report of being abducted by an automated rover is on file. If Second Lt Thirmon hadn't of come back for me I would probably have died " Chief Helm Officer Suvak added. " They could've been related to the graffiti."

"I've read the report and things will be forwarded to my parents along with the report of you being abducted," Cyndi said.

" I have the impression the device was powered by an outside source and intent to keep someone away from that planet."

"If you noticed there were several ships orbiting the planet along with the escort ships while we were in orbit," Cyndi commented "I will notify the Klavorian government. It's up to them not us."

" Speaking of vessels Commodore a large vessel just entered this system at extreme detector range," Suvak replied.

"Monitor it," Cyndi ordered "Can you determine who it is and the size of it?"

" Unable to determine at this time. Forwarding sensor readings to science ." Suvak replied.

James was at the Science Station when the readings hit his screen. It was pretty hard to get an idea of what they we're dealing with because of the distance from their ship. James magnified the readings as much as possible but still couldn't get any type of clarification.

"Commodore the Ship is still too far away to get any type of accurate readings and they don't seem to be getting much closer at this point" James explained.

"Keep sensors on it, I want to know the minute it changes course. If it does I'll scramble two of the fighters," Cyndi said.

"Aye Commodore" James replied to the order while making some adjustments on the screen trying to get a better angle on the Ship.

"Are you able yet to get a size on it and have they detected us yet?" Cyndi asked

" The vessel in question appears to be equal to us in length Commodore " Suvak surmised

"Science are you able to scan that ship or are we too far away?" Cyndi asked "I want to know what we're dealing with."

James extended his sensors more since the Ship was a little closer now. He was able to acquire a better reading....the Ship didn't look familiar so he ran it through Star Fleet's data base....he found a match as he read over the information.

"Commodore that looks like a Tholian ship and it's about our size. They're a long way from home considering they're near the southern border of the Klingon Empire" he stated wondering what they were doing so far from their home Planet.

"We still out gun it, but they're a long way form home. Have they spotted us yet?" Cyndi asked "I wonder why they're this far out? Scan for other ships."

"Checking now Commodore" as James scanned the area as much as he could "There doesn't seem to be any other Ships and I don't think they've picked us up on sensors yet" he explained.

"Let's keep it that way for now, Lieutenant Suvak change our orbit keep the planet between that ship and us until I say otherwise," Cyndi ordered.

" Changing orbit, aye sir." Suvak replied.

"McTavish keep sensors on that ship," Cyndi said looking at the planet and one of the moons. "Scan the smaller moon and tell me what your reading."

"Aye Ma'am" James replied as he locked sensors on the Ship then moving over to the second Science Station "Scanning Moon now" after several minutes "Commodore scanners are showing a massive power source....it looks to be powered by Benamite Crystals which is one hundred times more powerful than Dilithium per square meter" James reported.

Cyndi walked over and looked at the readings "That moon require further exploration. It could be why that other ship is here. I'm seeing life signs too."

" I am willing to lead an away team Commodore. I placed first in my class for away team management." Thoros volunteered.

"Not until I get a better handle on what is on or in that moon," Cyndi said.

Hearing Cyndi's last statement McTavish started running some different scans attempting to get as much information as possible. He started with the life signs to see what species were on the Moon...maybe that would help them figure things out. After some Bio scans James found out, at least, who was on the Moon "Commodore there are a few different races on the Moon.....Dogroons, Coridans" then he paused for a moment "And Tholians" he stated wondering why three different species were down there.

" The Tholians distrust humanoids. For them to be interacting with them is quite out of the ordinary." Suvak commented.

" And the Coridan have become very xenophobic since the Dominion War." Thoros added.

"The fact they're teaming up spells trouble. Are you still picking up only one ship on sensors?" Cyndi commented as she thought for a few minutes "Is it possible that the Benamite Crystals are what's powering that weapon? We need an away team down there to get a better look."

James stepped back over the Science Station One "Yes Commodore I'm still only picking up the single Ship; either they haven't discovered us yet or they don't think we're a threat" he stated.

"They probably haven't picked us up yet. Let's keep it that way, we do out gun them but I don't want to get into a fire fight.," Cyndi said.

" One advantage to fighting Tholians is to do so at a space with very low temperature. They radiate at higher temperatures but become inert at lower temperature." Thoros added.

"I'm aware of that lieutenant. Right now they don't need to know we're here," Cyndi said
