As had been requested Ro Green arrived on the Bridge, summoned here by Commander Kahn. Having come to the command deck via the starboard lift she was now near to flight control, the Bridge proper to her left. At an aft wall station Green spotted Kahn who was currently examining several screens, the Puazi warrior Nira Whisperwind standing with the XO. Making her way over while also glancing at the screens Green gave a grin to her compatriots. "Ladies." She then focused on Liza. "You called me to the Bridge, Exec. How can I be of service?"

Liza gave a slight sigh of relief upon seeing Ro. Nira was great company, with a sharp focus and a drive that was not easily dissuaded. But, she was from the Andromeda galaxy so knew little about Milky Way politics. "Yes, Commander Green, thank you. We have that," Liza gave an offhand motion towards one of the screens showing the Tholian capital ship. "We're all pondering why the Tholians would be out this way. And, according to data gathered, they are in league with some other fellows in creating some kind of antimatter torpedo. A torpedo that is designed to destroy whole planets, I might add."

"Your gubbernments make me sick," hissed out Nira. "Destroy a world to kill an enemy is self-defeating."

"I couldn't agree more," stated Green, her attention now going back and forth between the two as she spoke. "As for the Tholians this is going to get very sticky very quick. Once they lay claim to something it is near impossible to get Tholians to back off. They are well-versed in quantum mechanics and energy manipulation, which could explain their interest in anything to do with antimatter. For them, it being a weapon may not even concern them. However, they will fight to the death to obtain any secrets they are pursuing."

Kahn had listened and heard every word, her mind racing with ideas as her Strategic Operations Chief laid it all out, as was her job. Strat. Ops. was a nice gig. Intel gathering, special ops, security backup and sector intel as to threat assessment. So, when Green spoke Liza paid attention. "What about ground forces? Can Tholians beam down and such, without shattering as they cool down?"

It surprised Green that in all of its hosts Kahn had never dealt much with the Tholians. A crystalline species that were very much like Earth arachnids in shape and bearing. Four legs to walk and balance on, two smaller 'legs' which were arms with manipulating appendages. "Yes, Sir, they can beam down. They wear armored body suits, completely enclosed to maintain life support and provide protection. The suits have various electro charge weapons and a small particle cannon not unlike a rifle. The suits can take a beating before one ruptures, but it's not impossible."

"Can we talk?" Nira asked this, looking at both her friends. When she saw the look of confusion on both she gave a cynical sigh. "Diplomacy, idjits!" It came out in a cynical hiss and crooked grin.

Green gave a nod to Nira before looking at Liza. "The faster we start talking the better. I can assure you that while we are sitting here eyeballing them they are over there thinking we're preparing for battle by sizing them up. At which point diplomacy will be a facade, in their eyes."

Kahn took a few moments to think. "I want you and Nira prepped and ready for an away mission. A non-Starfleet look. Go down and mingle with the locals, see what's what."

"First, let's see how diplomacy works up here," replied Green. She would definitely love to go down and talk to the Tholian troop commander.
