Location: Tholian Ship
Timeline: Concurrent

Kinlo arrived back on his Ship and figured he 'd better contact the other Magistrates with the proposed plan he had discussed with the Federation representative.

Turning to the Communication Officer "Contact Tholian, I need to have a conversation with the other Magistrates [hiss]" came the order.

Soon the Magistrates were all assembled awaiting Kinlo's message. The First Magistrate started the conversation as was their custom "Second Magistrate how are things progressing with the weapon [hiss]" he queried.

"Not as well as I had hoped the Federation doesn't want this weapon developed and even though I can't prove it, I believe they have sabotaged us by deleting all of our Computer research and simulations [hiss]" Kinlo explained.

The Magistrates were furious "How dare they [hiss]!! They have no business interfering [hiss]. What are you going to do about this bold act of theirs [hiss]." he replied being outraged at such an event.

Kinlo took a deep breath "Let me explain if I may [hiss]. They have offered to mediate a peaceful solution between us and the Nyberrites to halt their expansion; if they're successful then the weapon will no longer be needed [hiss]" he stated wondering what kind of a reaction he would get from his fellow Magistrates.

The Magistrates talked among themselves for several minutes then the First replied "Kinlo you have proven yourself to be a great leader and someday will take my place as First Magistrate [hiss]. So I ask you....do you think you can trust these people [hiss]."

"I do First Magistrate....their representative seemed sincere and genuinely interested in helping us find a peaceful solution [hiss]" then he paused before continuing "Our only other course of action would be to push forward and possibly end up in an all out war with the Federation which i don't think we really want or could win [hiss]" Kinlo explained.

Again the Magistrates talked over his statement for several more minutes "We concur Kinlo.....a war with the Federation is something that we can't afford to happen at this time [hiss]. We leave the matter in your capable hands to enlist their help but keep us informed [hiss]" came the order.

Kinlo was relieved hearing their decision "I will do my best Magistrates to bring this into fruition [hiss]. But what about the weapon [hiss]" he queried.

"Forget the weapon for now until we see how this works out [hiss]. Of course the Coridans won't be too happy about the recent chain of events but that's their problem [hiss]. Any push back from them and the Magistrates will deal with it.....you focus on the negotiations for now [hiss]" he instructed.

"Understood Magistrates and I will do my best to secure the Federation's help in this matter [hiss]. Kinlo out [hiss]." he replied feeling much better about the whole situation....now they just needed the Federation to come through.
