Cyndi had received word that Commander Green had returned to the ship after meeting with the Tholoian's and was eager to find out how things had gone. Tapping her com-badge "Lieutenant McTavish, Commanders Green and Kahn please report to my ready room, I'd like an after action report on what you learned on the planet surface."

Hearing the Commodore's summons, James grabbed his PADD and left his Office making his way to the Ready Room. He wasn't quite sure why Cyndi had included him in the meeting unless she wanted more information on his analysis of the Benamite Crystals.

When he arrived the door was open so James knocked and walked in "Commodore, good afternoon" he said as he grabbed a seat waiting for the others to arrive.

"Commander Green has returned to the ship, I'm waiting to hear what she found out," Cyndi commented "I'd also like you to give a report on what you sent me about those crystals. I didn't include Herculoid unless you think she's needed."

"Actually Herculoid is checking on the other Labs, so no I don't think she's needed at this point and also I enlisted the other McTavish to give me a hand with the analysis" James replied "I have all the information on my PADD so I can let everyone else know what we were able to find out about the Crystals. Plus I'm curious how Green's meeting went as well."

Having received the summons Green acknowledged it and tapped her badge back off. She was in Strategic Ops., looking at her only other comrade. "Nira, a PADD and your memory are nedded. Come with me."

Nira was not surprised to be asked to join her closest friend. There was a history between them, but that was best left buried between them, considering some of the things they had done could get them prosecuted within several governments. But, friends were the family we all picked for ourselves, and when a sister called, you went. Gathering a PADD she got in step with Rogue and they entered the corridor.

Coming around a bend in the hallway they saw Kahn up ahead. The two joined the one and they all entered together. Green immediately looked to Cyndi. "Commodore, I will replay what I recorded through my combadge. After that we all need a discussion about what is right and what is wrong with this crisis."

"I can agree to that, Commander Green," Kahn responded.

"Let's hear your report commander, Nira I'm glad your joining us," Cyndi said "Lieutenant McTavish I'd like you to tell everyone what you've found out about the crystals too once the commander has given her report."

Green went through the computer to have it replay the entire conversation she had had with the Tholian. "Now, since we have all heard that, with all due respect, I need to know if we are responsible for certain items missing from the Tholians."

Nira had given Cyndi a nod and grin when she had been spoken to as she had entered. Now, she stood stock still next to both of her department heads, the CO, and several others.

"We all need to know, Commodore," stated Kahn.

"That commander is a good question," Cyndi said once the recording had finished. "Lieutenant McTavish please report on your findings and see if we are responsible and include the report on those crystals."

James sat for a moment quite confused by the Commodore's query but proceeded "To answer your question....we didn't take anything from the Tholians directly. However we did authorize our Infiltration Specialist to copy the research and simulations data on the weapon. After spending several hours going over the data I concluded that the weapon was viable and could made to work; even with the instability of the Benamite Crystals. Then Lieutenant Dunjen was authorized to destroy all their data" he explained hoping he was actually answering the question "Also from my analysis the Crystals seem to be very unstable unless they have found a work around that is new and cutting edge technology that we're not aware of."

"Agreed," Cyndi said, "But are the Coridans or Dogroons trying to lay claim to the moon. Could that be what the Tholians are disputing?"

James spoke up "I don't think so.....It looks like the Tholians are only interested in the Benamite Crystals to power their weapon" he commented "It sounds like they're only making this weapon to stop the Nyberrites from any further expansion into what sounds like a neutral territory."

Green waited patiently for all to finish, liking to hear various opinions. "Apologies if I sounded accusatory. But, the best way to be diplomatic is to be blunt and as honest as possible. I agree with Mr. McTavish that all this may be due to the Alliance crossing into territory the Tholians consider theirs. When exploring they tend to claim a squatter's rights to areas they choose. No interference and no spying."

"They do protect their territories with zeal," Kahn agreed. "And, from the way you approached the meeting, Commander Green, we may be able to work with them amicably."

Cyndi nodded "Commander Green I'd like you to meet with them again and make sure we have a peaceful outcome. I do not want to get us into a fire fight. But that weapon cannot be permitted to be completed. Keep me posted on this. Anything else? If not your all dismissed."
