#34 Seeing to others

Mission:
Rescue On Romulus
Location: runabout
Timeline: current
ON:
Green had gone into the open back of the Romulan runabout, seeing the 19 prisoners she had been able to help. "Come on, folks. Use the replicators and get you clean clothes. Bathroom is there and free to use." She noted that their eyes kept going to her hilts, one on each hip. They stood out against her all black bodysuit.
"Thank you for freeing us from that horrible place," said a woman appearing Human. "I think we were all pretty close to termination to free up more room for more prisoners of value. Again, thank you."
Green felt her cheeks blush a smidge. "You're welcome. Though, you never have to say thank you. The Meji are here to protect and defend all citizens."
"Meji?" Asked another, a male Andorian.
"It is my Order. The Order of the Meji. Currently, I am the only member since it was newly established as I rescued you fine people." She gave a grin. Over half the others were making clothing and using the bathroom to clean themselves if they were in need. Most of them seemed quite clean. But, normal clothes over prison garb would lift their spirits that much more.
"Well, then thank you to your Meji, and to you," replied the Andorian. He too came froma culture of clans and a body known as the Sovereign Guard that protected Andor with an almost religious fervor. "I am Nashu." He stood and shook hands.
"Rogue Green. Lieutenant Commander, Starfleet. We're enroute to Outpost 27 and will meet my mother ship there. We have a cloaked fighter escort of the starboard wing, so we're safe from prying sensors."
"Outstanding," stated Nashu, smiling from ear to ear.
"People have died to accomplish this mission," said Green, having to use Control to not crack her voice or mist her eyes. "Not a guilt trip, just explaining the cost for leaving no one behind. Freedom is never free, it comes at a high cost."
Nashu gave a slow nod. "I have seen my days of combat, I know that all too well. I shall never forget this. If your Order grows I shall look forward to reading more about it."
"I appreciate that. The Order is open to all. and I do mean ALL. The next step is getting the Federation to recognize it as my religion and way of life. I'm sure there will be no problem."
"You have 19 character witnesses, Commander," stated Nashu with a grin. "Trust me, it will pass. I am a staff member for the Andorian Diplomatic Corps."
Green gave a chuckle. "The Core brought us together, I have no doubts. Come, let us discuss details up front while the rest get comfortable."
"After you."
The two of them went up front to the Bridge and sat down. Ro laid out the initial plan for the Meji, a rough draft, with Nashu nodding and asking questions when appropriate. All they needed to do was get to O-27.
