#12 Relaxed activities

Standing her watch on the Bridge, having let group after group of crew go down to the planet, Green was feeling it was her turn. Lieutenant JG Washburn from Security showed up on the Bridge looking tanned and healthy, smiling as he crossed to Ro.

"Hello, Commander," he said, still smiling from ear to ear. "Tython is awesome! So, since I did pass my command course for conn, if you wish to go have a day, Ro, then please do so. I got the Watch."

"You are awesome," said Green, smiling and giving him a handshake hug. "I can see by your tan that it is all it promised to be. You have the conn, Mister Washburn." She didn't hesitate after that, going straight into the lift. Nile was down below and so she would just beam to the small ship wherever it was on the planet. It was within easy reach by transporter, being in the same region as the city.

Kirk had found a flat granite slab to lane the USS Nile on, the shale carved out by the ocean waves against the island creating a perfect landing pad and sea wall. Looking inward it was a dense jungle with one large mountain in the middle of this oval shaped tropical paradise. This was reminiscent of the Devil's Tower in the US on Earth, thought Kirk, voicing that out loud to Zenni as they stood just outside the ship and looked at the peak. The solidified magma core from a volcano caldera that didn't quite blow its top.

Zenni had watched Kirk work wonders as she eyeballed everything she did outside the ship while her hands seemingly moving of their own accord to manipulate every nuance of maneuverability available, down to the most feather-light of touches. She had slid the runabout undar an overhang of tree palms and branches, a grassy glen beneath them. With the way the ship had been placed they had the view of the water and up the hill.

"Build camp first, stare in awe later," said Kirk sarcastically as she gripped Zenni's bicep and got her moving. As Kahn came snapping out of her little haze and blinked Jim thrust a sensor pod into her arms. "Set 'em up around the camp like your memory should tell you. I'm not in the mood to get surprised and eaten because I was stupid."

Zenni found that oddly hilarious and cackled a bit loudly. She put the back of her hand over her mouth and laughed quietly, seeing Kirk's puzzled expression.

"Zenni, you're creeping me out," stated Kirk, dropping her own pod and standing at the ready, hand not on the but of her sidearm, but near to it. Thankfully it was still on stun. "You, uhh..feelin' okay?"

Zenni held both hands up in front of her innocently, wiggling the digits and keeping nothing hidden. "It's not me, Zenni. It's me, Kahn, doing this. It is just suddenly...elated about life. Breathing all this unspoiled air and smelling all these wonderous smells of creation and decay just have the Symbiont...blissful...at one with it all."

"Okay," sighed out Kirk, her pose relaxing but not relaxed. "Hippy guru shit I can deal with. You having a reaction to something and tripping like LSD, not so much."

Again, Zenni cracked up. "Would you please, STOP?!" She pseudo-begged. "Just..ya know...be quiet..for just a minute," more giggling. "Kahn, come on, time to level out."

Kirk did as she was asked, just kept quiet and watched. ~If this was what being Joined to something meant, I'm good, thanks~ thought Jamie. She didn't find it disgusting or offensive just different. An experience she needed in life so she could be around the many more Trill out there. "Hey, Sit on the nacelle and take a breath. Giggle your ass off while I get started with the awning."

Zenni gave a thumbs up and went and sat down, reining in her wild emotions and focusing them down into a meditation. The Core was showing Kahn that this island had an energy to it, one that was both positive and invigorating. Definitely worth exploring. Instinct told her that the base of that mountain was where she would find answers so she got herself under Control and communed with the Core.
