After the rather amusing conversations Lieutenant McTavish walked over to the XO "Commander I'd like to take the other Lieutenant McTavish on a field trip to the surface to collect samples of the plant life for further study" he explained hoping for a little R&R while they are at it.

Green gave James a grin. "Permission granted. Standard away team protocols for both craft and transporters. And, yes, you may carry on."

Several minutes later Commander O'Connell, seeing McTavish leave, went over to the XO " Commander I'd like to take my Wife for a little R&R if you can spare us for a day, then I can take the Con when we return so you can have some time on the surface as well" Jamie commented.

Ro gave a chuckle and nodded. "I think we'll hold it together until you return, Jamie. Take a few days for yourselves."

"Thank you Commander, Heather will be quite pleased being able to get off the Ship for a bit" Jamie replied with a grin then gave a nod before turning to go tell Heather the good news.
