Lieutenant Heather McTavish keyed in the code into the Shuttle keypad from the PADD the Commodore had given her, then the hatch opened downward and Heather stepped onto the Shuttle.

Looking around she couldn't believe all the Tech on board thinking "Wow, now I know what to ask James to get me for Christmas" then a snicker came across her face.

Heather keyed in the Commodore's Security Code and brought up all the data from the scans that she had done while enjoying her stay in the Cabin. Heather copied all the data and sent it to the Amandora for further study when she returned.

There were some physical samples that could be looked at here and now. Checking the cabinets she found a microscope along with a scalpel and some blank slides. Heather set to work preparing some slides for study when she heard a knock on the doorway. Turning she saw it was James with a smile on his face.

"Hey Lieutenant...would you like some help" he asked as he boarded the Shuttle.

Heather smiled "Yes Lieutenant McTavish, I could use some help if you want to take these samples and prepare some slides for me" she replied with a grin.

"I can do that" he stated as he got right to work doing up the slides for Heather.

She analyzed the slides of plant life carefully one by one with the same result. Looking up at James "Here take a look at this....tell me what you see" she commented.

"Ok, but you do know I'm not a Botanist" he replied with a chuckle. James knew a lot of Science but left Biology to Heather. Looking through the microscope he noticed something odd then looking up at her "If I'm not mistaken the cells look mis-shaped, but I can't tell how or where or even why for that matter" he concluded.

"Exactly.....although I think I know the why.....it's the Omega Particles having a direct effect on the cellular structure. Of course I won't know for sure until I get this stuff back to the Ship and analyze it further but at Least I have some news for the Commodore" she concluded, then asking James "So do you want to send Cyndi a report on what we've found so far."

James looked at Heather and smiled "A.....no sweetheart" he whispered "Cyndi tasked you directly with this operation and you don't need me to be the go between.....I think you should send her any and all reports yourself. Officially speaking as Chief of Science you have my full trust and permission to do so. Also with Commander Green leaving for Earth soon include Commander O'Connell as well since he will be the acting XO until her return" he explained.

Heather grinned "Anything you say Boss" as she set about to gather all the slides and the rest of the samples to secure them in a special air tight bag for transport.

Then she sent a Report as follows:

Topic: Initial Plant Analysis

Priority: High

After initial examination of the plant life here on Tython it would appear the cellular structure has been altered on all specimens examined. As to the exact cause or extent it will be determined once back aboard the Amandora.

Once more analysis can be carried out, then more Reports will be forthcoming in the coming days.

After looking over the report Heather turned to James "Does this look ok, since this is your area of expertise" she queried with a grin.

"Yes it looks good to me" he answered so Heather sent off the report.

The Lieutenants left the Shuttle as Heather secured the vessel and they walked a short distance away. Tapping her Comm "Amandora, this is Lieutenant Heather McTavish, two to beam back to the Ship" which she always wanted to say and moments later they were gone.
