After leaving the Commodore and her group Ro walked a short distance to Nira, who was standing belly to belly in an embrace with Silk. Sean was decked out in combat fatigues but they had no official patches or logos. They were doing kissy face and talking lightly to one another so Green remained a polite distance until they were through. Both of them finally looked over, with Nira speaking first. "Hi, Ro. Are we going?"

"Yes," she said, stepping forward. Ro saw them detach from each other and face her. "Yes, we are. Earth, as a matter of fact."

It was Silk's turn to Speak up, and the surprise on his face was golden. "Earth? Like, ya know--EARTH."

Green laughed and smiled, her eyes bright and shiny as she felt more positive than she had in a long time. "Yep, same one. That's why I need chica there," she nodded at Whisperwind. "To help make the trip exceedingly short."

Silk looked over at lavender girl. "The portal?"

Nira shrugged. "I guess so." She looked at Green. "Can we take a ship?"

"The Commodore has already given permission for us to depart," explained Green. "You and I, while the others remain behind and see to this Iconian issue. If you can create a portal large enough for a runabout then yes, for sure we can take the Nile."

Nira clapped her hands excitedly. "Earth! Can't wait!"

Sean grinned at her exuberance, but did not know she had ever been there. "You've been to Earth? But, there are no records, as far as I know, about a Puazi visiting my beloved homeworld."

"I sneak," said Nira, grinning sheepishly. "I stay with Shaolin Monks, learn their ways and their philosophy. Wisdom comes from many sources."

"That it does," Ro agreed. With what Nira had said just then a thought came to Green's mind. One that could be discussed later. "The Nile is over at the shuttle pads. I'll head over while you two finish...well...whatever you need to." She gave them both a sexy smile and wink before spinning to head off.

Two hours later Green had the USS Nile ready to roll, all data and samples locked away and in stasis. She beamed all that to Amandora, making sure they knew to keep it locked up until Mister McTavish had had a chance to go over it himself with his Science department. The data logs were sent over to the McTavish duo since Ro knew they would share it anyway. Done with that, and Nira finally showing up, they lifted off and ascended into the heavens. Once in orbit and heading outward from the star in the system Green leaned back in her chair and looked to her right. "You sure you can do this?"

"Seh seh," said Nira, which was YES in her language. "It will tax me so I will need to meditate to recover."

Green nodded in understanding. "I know all too well how that works. Tell you what. Get me within a day of Earth at say--warp 4, and you can nap all you want until we arrive."

"Deal," said Nira with a grin. She got to her feet and came to stand between the two front seats, facing the forward viewport. She put her hoops on her fingers and they melded into a single, two-finger ring. A few amber sparks prevalent during the use of Eldritch Magick popped forth from the ring as Nira made a small circle motion with her closed fist. Out in space an amber ring of sparks appeared directly ahead of them, growing in circumference as Nira expanded its borders. "Go, now," the Puazi grunted with effort.

Ro didn't hesitate to accelerate, shooting through the aperture as quickly as possible. Once the ship passed through the sparks disappeared behind the ship and Nira hit the floor with both knees, thankful that Green's chair was where it was. She leaned against it heavily.

"Nira!" Green exclaimed as she stood and aided her friend to one of the racks. Once laid down and comfortable Green sat on the edge of the bed like a mother over her child. "You are an amazing being, Nira. You give of yourself so others do not suffer. The Meji Order could use one like yourself. I offer you a chance to join us and take the oaths. Give it some thought while you rest." She leaned in and brushed a lock of hair from Nira's brow, kissing her forehead. "Rest now. I'll wake you when we have arrived."

Nira was taken aback by Ro's offer to join the Order. She had no idea what this Core was that Green, and now Zenni, could control and manipulate. She knew of magick and supernatural things that would make the Milky Way cultures curl up in a ball and weep. Why the Milky Way had ended up this way was beyond her comprehension. Maybe it was their reliance on technology rather than spirituality and evolution. Humans tried to evolve through science and that ended up a travesty. But, after thinking on all that while slowly crashing into sleep, Nira Whisperwind would be honored to join the Meji and impart her knowledge of Eldritch Magick. If one could not access the Core then perhaps the Magick was the answer. Only time would tell. She fell into a restful slumber.

Ro had sat and watched Nira's eyes slowly give in to their own weight, as exhausted as she was. She had reached out with the Core and sensed Nira's calm, peaceful self as she went to sleep. Standing up Ro grabbed a folded blanket from the top rack and laid it over her friend, covering her for the rest of the trip. Nira was in her boyshorts bikini outfit she was originally found in, having been out in the woods. Going back to the front Ro Green figured out where she was by the computer, angled and plotted for Sol, then took off at warp five. ~To blazes with a day~ thought Green ~Let's make it twelve hours~

Staying at warp five Green leaned back in her chair, folded her hands in her lap and then went into meditation. Best way to kill time was to reflect on past events.
