#4 Just Happenings

Mission: McKinley Outpost
Location: Shuttlebay 2
Timeline: current

Green and Kahn stood facing one another in the dead center of shuttlebay two. The holodecks did not work for saber practice, with the computer not able to keep up with where the plasma blade was due to the gyroscopic nature of it as it was swinging around. So, the next best thing to do was actual saber practice in a wide open space where the probability of striking others or equipment was minimal, at best. Nira was there to but off to the side. Her Meji combat did not involve a saber and the Core, hers was more physical backed by Eldritch Magick. Any weapons she may need against spiritual and metaphysical she could conjure as needed. Which would make sparring interesting, to say the least.

Green ignited her cloud blue blade, Kahn her emerald green. They went at it hot and heavy, enough so that a small crowd had gathered to watch from among the small craft pilots and other FC officers. The dazzling spectacle of the two blades whirring and popping as they connected was a show to behold. Kirk stood among her pilots, also bedazzled by the duel before them. The feats of acrobatics were amazing in and of themselves, no way a standard being could manage them. There must be something to this Core and she planned on talking to one of them about it. The others referred to Green as Master, so her best option would be to start there.

Green and Kahn stood atop the USS Nile, battling it out as they had leaped and jumped their way to various platforms while practicing their techniques. Both seemed to prefer the Soresu form, which was a balance of offense and defense. Take advantage when it occurs but don't press for them. The two ladies closed down, hopping down from the Nile to the deck. "Kirk," said Green as she walked over, Nira and Kahn with her. "Keep a Delta on the ready. With ship to ship actions or colonies, sometimes the best approach is flying in. Transporters surprise folks too much."

Kirk gave a nod. "Of course, Commander. Delta 5 is always on the go line. I can even doctor her to look like an old civilian owned version. Just let me know, Sir."

Ro smiled. "I like how you think. Doll her up, Ensign."

Jim grinned in return. "I'll get right on it, Commander. And, when time allows, I'd like to speak to you about the Meji."

Green didn't expect that from someone she had found to be quite wordly. "Anytime, Jim. That door is always open when time allows. There should be a department head meeting coming up, I'll make sure to signal you. Don't be shy about your opinion, Ensign." With that said Green turned with her entourage and left the shuttlebay.

Kirk went to take care of Delta 5.
