Captain Sureth, COMMANDANT of Starbase Mercury quickly beamed aboard the Amandora to greet the senior Commodore and Admiral.

Tapping Cyndi's ready room door she would be surprised to see Sureth aboard her ship.

Hearing the chime on her door "Come in," Cyndi called.

Sureth entered and slightly bowed to his superior officer.

"Commodore Song I am Captain Sureth COMMANDANT of STARBASE MERCURY. On behalf of my station and crew I wanted to welcome you personally."

"Thank you captain," Cyndi said "Won't you have a seat."

" Normally I would have waited for you to visit my station for your inspection but I am in need of one of your officers and I wanted to ask you for permission to recruit her? " Sureth stated.

"An inspection is forth coming and I'm sure everything is going to be in order, now which of my officers do you want and why" Cyndi asked.

"Lieutenant Tara Herculoid, the science officer. Three of my officers are going on a mission of extreme importance and I need a capable science officer to go with them. " Sureth replied.

Cyndi leaned back in her seat "How long will you need her for? She's been given another duty on the ship in the diplomatic area,"

" Diplomacy? I will need her for several weeks unless she would choose to stay longer. " Sureth added.

"What is the mission? That will determine if I can let her go," Cyndi replied

" Captain Rivers will be leading a team to extract an ship lost inside an alien imaging matrix. We encountered a species that can digitize it's enemies down to a cellular level, not unlike the V'ger species Kirk encountered. Herculoid is the second best science officer in this sector. "

"Captain Rivers? Are you referring to Marlaina Rivers? If that's who your referring to she's not been with Starfleet for years and neither has her Husband Commander Rivers. Captain Marlaina Rivers left Starfleet about five years ago and her husband left a year ago. Now if there is another Captain Rivers I'm not aware of it," Cyndi said.

"No ma'am Captain Deke Rivers of the USS Bohr, our flag ship."

"That's a name I've not heard, I'll permit you to take Herculoid," Cyndi commented "I would like to know if this Deke Rivers is related to First Lieutenant Alesha Rivers."

" Perhaps later the two of you can meet. I must return to await your inspection, and you. " Sureth replied.

Cyndi stood "I'll be over later and yes have Captain Rivers there when I arrive."

Sureth bowed again and then exited.
