Mission: BUGS OH NO!!
Location: Ready Room
Timeline: Current

ON:

Cyndi had cleaned up her ready room, it had been full of broken glass and a few personal items had been damaged, nothing that couldn’t be repaired or replaced if need be. Getting up from her desk Cyndi walked to her office door and looked out on the bridge, repair crews were busy getting the battle damaged repaired “Lieutenant Herculoid I’d like to talk to you.”

Tara handed off the tools she’d been using to one of the repair crews, walking into the commodore’s ready room she turned to wait for Cyndi.

Cyndi took a seat at her desk and indicated for Tara to do the same. Once Herculoid was seated Cyndi folded her hands on her desk “You and I need to have a serious talk both as Princesses and as Starfleet officers. We both hold unique positions with Starfleet and both have the same documentation on file. I know all about your home planet and the issues with the Romulans. You seem to forget that there are two factions of the Romulans. One being the Star Empire who attacked us and the other one being the Republic who came to our assistance. Sub Commander Alona Tal is a friend and has been a member of this crew. I trust her. Your comment about learning to trust them was out of line. I’m only going to tell you this once. Your personal feelings for the Romulans be it the Star Empire or the Republic have no room on my bridge. Your working on a treaty, that I am sure is between your planet’s government and the Empire. Am I right?”

Tara nodded “It is commodore and yes I was out of line. I do have a hard time remembering, I’ll never forget the attack on my home planet or what happened to my people during the occupation.”

“I know it was hard, I’m not going to sit here and say otherwise. What I am going to tells you is to think about your comment. You like me will be a Queen one day. I don’t want it but I was born to it, same as you. Ask yourself this question. There are two other Amazons aboard this ship, what kind of example have you shown for Long or Rivers as their future Queen once that time comes? Or to your own people? When Rivers fighter was attacked her her engines knocked out Tal didn’t have to tractor her and bring her to the aft section of this ship. She could have left Rivers to drift helpless and face another attack. But instead Tal protected her and returned her safely to this ship. I also don’t think your outburst when you saw Rivers attacked was needed,” Cyndi said “I understand she’s a friend, Commander Green and I are the ones who make the decisions on what happens on this ship. Do I make myself clear?”

Tara nodded “Yes commodore and I’m sorry. I have a lot to learn. What happens to me now? Are you going to demote me or send me packing or both?”

“I’m not going to do anything, this is off the record and between us. I am asking you to think long and hard on your actions and how it could have affected the rest of the crew? I want your word that it will not happen again. Or next time it does happen I’m going to drop kick you down so hard you’ll think you were back in the academy. This is a warning take it to heart, the next time IF there is a next time Commander Green will be in on the conversation. I owe the commander a lot, I owe her my life. You’re nor the only member of this ship who has a grudge against someone. But it has no place on my bridge. You’re a Starfleet officer. Act like it. Am I clear?”

“Yes sir,” Tara said “It won’t happen again. I assure you.”

“See that it doesn’t,” Cyndi replied her tone softening “Your dismissed and remember what I told you.”

Tara got to her feet, thanked Cyndi and returned to the bridge.
