Green had gone to her quarters after informing the Bridge she would be up shortly. Within her personal spaces she stripped down and stepped into the shower, relaxing into the hot water even as she lathered and scrubbed away the filth of the day, and the carbon leftover from burnt flesh and uniform. Stepping out and seeing to her other hygiene needs she decided to go with the standard black slacks, straight-legged and tucked into knee-high boots. Black Underarmor sports bra over which she pulled on her polo, mock-neck red shirt, tucking it in and making sure it was not crinkled or creased anywhere. She left the neck zipper down as she pulled on the uniform vest variant and zipped it up. It was just, essentially, a tunic without sleeves, but she preferred it over the double long sleeves every day. What she would not give to be able to wear a red shirt like back in the day. But, nothing for it.
Checking herself in the mirror after brushing her hair and putting it up in a French braid, Ro was satisfied with her appearance. Leaving her bathroom and bedroom she made it to the main room and the speaker sounded. "Commander Green, Sickbay. Your request for Doctor Bjorgo has been seen to."
That caused her to stop in her tracks, hesitating with uncertainty. "Thank you. I'll be right down. Green, out."
Taking in a breath and letting it out quickly she steeled herself for what was to come before getting her pace back and exiting her quarters. The trip to Sickbay was quick and she entered without breaking stride, heading directly for the morgue. No one stopped her and when she entered there were two nurses in attendance for the body. Both of them looked at her as she came in, bowed their heads in sympathy for her loss and then departed.
There he was, covered in the death shroud, the hilt of his teral'n sticking up from his chest through a hole they had cut in the material. The rest of him, except for his boots, was covered. Slowly walking forward, her legs beginning to shake, Ro arrived at his left side and reached out her right hand to pull the shroud back off of his face. She took in a breath as she saw first hand the bruising and abrasions he had suffered in fighting Jynxza. "Why, Tore? Why were you over there? Look what it did to you." There was no stopping the torrent of sorrow that encompassed her heart, her sobs coming on strong as she allowed herself to feel it all and to let it out. She laid her hand open palm along his left cheek, feeling the coldness of death which caused her to sob even more as she pulled her hand away and placed it palm down on the top of his chest. The tears were spilling down her cheeks and dripping from her chin and face, making a wet blotching on the front of her vest. She did not even notice.
Her left hand came up and Green grabbed the hilt of the teral'n at the head, closest to where the blades were. Her fist clenched around it, white knuckles showing her anger and sorrow as she took in another hard breath and released it quickly, preparing herself for the grisly task of yanking it free. Holding his corpse down with her right Ro took one last breath and then pulled up and away, the blades rending a bit of flesh and covered in the ichor of the deceased as it came free due to her strength. "Good bye, Love." Turning from the body after recovering his face, Green walked over to the sonic cleansing station for personnel who got covered in bodily fluids and held the teral'n just inside of it and activated the stall. Within moments the weapon was perfectly clean, no hint of what it had just been removed from. As the Klingons would do, Ro Green was done with the body, now just an empty shell. Closing down the blades on the teral'n Ro walked out of the morgue, nodding to the nurses that they may continue to house him as they needed to. Without another word to anyone she went back up and dropped off the weapon in her quarters, then from there, ascended to the command deck, stepping out onto the Bridge. She could tell her eyes were red and swollen from crying as she swiped away the drying tears on her face. As she passed Nira it looked as if the Puazi was going to step in and give her a hug, to which she raised a hand of halt, moving around the lavender woman to her spot on the Bridge.
