Mission:
BUGS OH NO!!
Location: USS Amandora
Timeline: current
ON:
Having put together the names of all those they had put up for promotion, and were field promoting at this time, Green stopped a moment as she sat at her desk in her quarters. Leaning back she began to think on the away teams and missions. Kirk, Herculoid and Rivers had done their part and both Rivers and Kirk had been recognized for their efforts. Tara had been no slouch during their away mission to the asteroid, and that meant that none of the personnel with O'Connell had faltered either. Sitting forward again Green backtracked and amended her report.
Now, all the members of O'Connell's team were being put in for the Silver Star, every-single-one. Picking up a PADD Green began to read through the personnel files for those who had gone over. The rest who had gone over were slightly this side of time in rate for promotions anyway so, requesting that early would be no sweat off her back. After all, HQ would not be able to ignore the fact that they had liberated an Akira class, intact, and were now returning it to Starfleet in almost perfect condition. That spoke volumes about those being considered for promotions and commendations. With that in mind Devroe and Dunjen were added to the list of those receiving a field promotion. All other team members were given a Starfleet Commendation award on top of the Silver Star. She compiled that bit of data for Jamie's away team and sent it over to the Akira for his eyes only, allowing their team leader to be the one to present them.
Herculoid was to receive the Bronze Star for her gallantry in assisting Rivers and Kirk in shutting down the singularity, and Green kept herself out of any awards or promotions. Without those around her she would not have gotten as far as she did and Ro would always recognize excellence. Thoros, for his part in risking his life to restore power on the freighter, would also receive a Commendation. Finishing all of that Green then sent it off in a coded message. Satisfied and gratified over the decisions and choices she had made Ro leaned back in her chair again, grinning to herself as she clasped her hands over her belly and closed her eyes to meditate.

Logging into his Alpha shift, Silk began to collect his thoughts and assignments for the day, taking his palm PADD and transferring directives to it. After the business of Medical was seen to he then looked to his messages, seeing one from the XO. Inputting his serial number and password he checked the mail, his eyes lighting up as he read what was there. "Hot damn!" He said out loud, not shouting it but definitely apparent.
Nurse Taylor Jones walked over with a smile on her face. "Good news, I take it, Lieutenant."
Sean looked at that beautiful black face and gave his own smile. "Very good, and according to this, It's Captain Silk, now." He motioned at the screen so Jones could lean in and look.
"Congratulations, Sean," she said, giving him a handshake and a hug.
"It says that department heads have been sent missives about the promotions, so I guess I can just replicate my new railroad tracks and don them." Silk could not help but smile, doing just that. After getting his new rank pins he replaced the butterbar with the bars for captain. "So, how do I look?"
"Like a million bucks, minus the million bucks," Taylor quipped. "Seriously, though, it looks good on you." Another handshake and hug ensued before she went back to what she had been doing previous.
Silk returned to his own duties, albeit, with a bit more pep in his step.

Kirk, who had been working on Delta 5 well into the evening last night, awoke on one of the sofa/beds in the aft section of the small craft. Sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes and face she swung her legs over the side and planted them on the carpeted deck. Standing, she made her way to the replicator, ordering a thermomug of black coffee based on the grounds produced on Rigo IV, which she had added to the replicator menu some months back. Also, all the normal 'health' restrictions had been nullified thanks to a little help from Silk who had put his own medical credentials in place to allow the computer to make the coffee as strong as the raktajino everyone else seemed to love. Klingon coffee was fine, but Kirk was not a Klingon. She preferred to drink what she knew, what she had grown up on. Taking up her beverage Jim made her way to the cockpit and sat down in one of the crew chairs, accessing the console to check the dailies, and saw the PM from the XO.
After opening it and reading, while sipping and blowing on her coffee, Kirk's eyes widened a bit. She had received her black pip in a field promotion, awaiting approval by HQ, but active immediately. Setting her mug aside she got up and went to the Bridge replicator and created her new rank pin, with both a black and gold pip. "No more mucking around, Jimmie girl," she said to herself, talking out loud. "They get removed quicker than they are gained. Stay frosty." With a smile on her face she returned to her seat and took up her mug, diving back into her duty roster for the day.
