Location: Bridge
Timeline: current

ON:

Green was on her feet on the Bridge, casually walking around and looking at monitors now and then. She heard the aft turbolift and turned to face it, seeing Song enter the command deck. "Ah, Commodore. Good morning. Last night on Gamma shift we received a call from a colony on Midora III, a Class-K planet. Their supply transport is late and can't be contacted so we answered their Federation hail." She walked with Cyndi down to the chair area, continuing. "I spoke to their governor, Dwight Bachman, and assured him we could arrive and offer assistance. We are underway at warp five, Sir."

"Good morning commander," Cyndi replied as she listened to Ro's report. "Of course we'll offer any assistance we can How long at warp five will it take us to get there? This sounds urgent."

"I ended the transmission about fifteen minutes ago, just before Alpha shift. The flight time is about four hours. I told the governor we would call him back to let him know, but I wanted to inform you first." Green explained.

"Contact him and let him know we're on the way and will offer what ever assistance he needs," Cyndi said as the lift doors opened. Turning to see who had come onto the bridge.

Alesha stepped off the lift and onto the bridge. It had been sometime since she'd been on the bridge. "I'm sorry for the intrusion. Lance Corporal Money is going to be here any minute."

While Alesha was talking to the Commodore, Green had Tactical open a channel to Midora III on the main viewer, putting herself between the screen and the other two. The governor answered, and upon seeing Green gave a toothy smile and even wagged his browse once. "Commander Green, as good as your word, I see. I hope this call is good news?" He asked this even though Green could tell he already knew the answer.

"It is, Governor Bachman," Green responded, throwing back at him in a playful way the use of titles. "Amandora is currently headed your way. We should drop from warp at Midora in about four hours. I hope you can wait that long?" She asked this facetiously, giving her own teasing grin and eyes. Being cheeky was a skill she had mastered years ago

Bachman gave a sexy chuckle. Well, sexy to Ro anyway. "I think I'll manage, as will the colony. I look forward to meeting you in person."

"We share that sentiment, Dwight." Answered Ro. "We'll be there in a few hours. Amandora, out." Once the transmission ended she turned to see what the two marines were doing up here.

Shannon Money arrived on the Bridge by way of the starboard lift, careful to stay to the side as she made her way around to Rivers and the Commodore. To say she was nervous would have been an understatement. Song was a flag officer, despite having only a single ship command. She kept her voice low so as not to interrupt the comm call. "Captain Rivers," she gave a nod to Alesha. Standing taller she looked at Song. "Commodore, Lance Corporal Shannon Money reporting to the Bridge at the behest of Captain Rivers."

"I'd like to speak with both of you regarding Lance Corporal Money, " Alesha said "That is if this is not a bad time. I have a request."

Cyndi looked at Ro "Rivers does not come up here without a good reason. I'd like to hear what she has to say. We can meet in my ready room."

Green remained stoic, never having had an issue with Rivers on the Bridge. While she had been reading reports this morning she did see the report from Rivers about Money, and her performance in the holodeck for fighter simulation. Something this Money had taken upon herself to do in her drive to become a fighter jock. "After you, Commodore." As Cyndi led the way, Alesha right along behind her, Ro looked at Money and motioned towards the Ready Room. "Lance Corporal."

"Oh...right." Money snapped out of it, still getting over being up here. The Bridge was not a place marines saw very often. She hurried along with Green behind her, feeling like she was headed for a firing squad all of a sudden, trapped between the two highest ranked officers aboard.

Alesha followed Cyndi into the ready room.

Cyndi walked behind her desk and motioned for the three officers to have a seat. "Captain Rivers I read your report and I have to say I too am impressed."

"She's eager sir," Alesha said "That can be both good and bad that's why I wanted to speak to command."

Green had remained standing, behind one of the guest chairs. Money did the same, standing next to the Commander at parade rest. "According to your report, Captain, she did exceptionally well. Is there a concern?" Asked Green.

Money kept her trap shut and kept her eyes neutral, not looking at the Commodore, but anything else around and behind her. As she was the topic of conversation while in the room she felt it was the best way to be.

"No concern, she reminds me of me when I was young, I was eager to prove myself. I'd like to request she be assigned to the fighter wing. I believe she'd be an asset to the squadron. I'm already having a viper readied for her. If you are willing to permit it and if she's ready for the work." Alesha said looking from Money to Cyndi and to Green.

Despite herself and her effort to control herself, Money started to crack a grin when she heard what Alesha had to say, and try as she might she could not get it completely under control.

Green looked at the other three, as well, noting Money's effort to keep her face stoic. Hard to do when one hears what they want to hear. Ro looked at Cyndi. "I see no reason to deny the request. The marines will still have 40, with West remaining. Money, do you plan to continue working with the marine unit?"

"I do, Sir. But, I request that the fighter slot be my primary." Said Shannon, making her desire clear, with no misunderstanding. "When needed on the ground I will be there."

"I'm satisfied," said Green. "She knows what she wants." Having said that Green went to the replicator and created something, palming it so the others could not see what it was, returning to her spot even as Song was saying her piece.

"I'm good with it as well, if Captain Rivers thinks you'll be an asset to the fighter squadron then you have my permission. Those Vipers are brand new and there is no other ship in the fleet that has them."

"Thank you commander, commodore," Alesha said looking to Shannon "Welcome to the fighter wing and like you if I'm needed on the ground I'm there."

Green pulled her palm PADD from her pocket as Song was speaking, tapping away and adding her thumb print to it. She handed it to the Commodore. "Just need your thumb print for confirmation, Cyndi." She handed the PADD over. "Transfer of a marine to fighters and also her promotion to a pilot officer. And, with that in mind, open your hand, Miss Money."

Money, excited as all get out, was still in a stunned silence as she moved like an automaton and lifted her right hand palm up. Green dropped something small into it and when she looked she saw a pip for warrant officer, just as Barnes had predicted. "Thank you, Sirs."

Cyndi added her thumb print to the PADD "Congratulations, you've earned it." standing Cyndi offered her hand.

Switching the pin to her left hand Money shook hands with her right, including all three women. "Again, thank you."

Smiling and giving a chuckle of excitement for the new warrant officer, Green clasped her hand with vigor. "Congratulations, Warrant Money. That flight score was next level. I can see why Alesha is determined to have you. But, even as a pilot, stay grounded."

Shannon caught the meaning behind that. "I will, Commander."

"I echo that, don't be so eager that you lose sight of what your supposed to do," Cyndi said looking to Alesha "Good call captain."

"Thank you sir," Alesha said saluting her superior officers.

Ro gave Alesha an extra handshake. "That is being a leader, Captain. What it means to be an officer. One lesson learned," she said with a smile. "If there is nothing else you two may depart when ready."

Money waited for Alesha, even though she was eager to go down and sit in her fighter and get it aligned on the dash like she had with the simulation.

"Thank you commander," Alesha said looking at Shannon "We need to get back to marine country, you have a fighter to prep and learn."

"Fuckin'-A! Shit, sorry," Shannon apologized to the two command officers with a sheepish look on her face. "Let's go before I dig myself a deeper hole, Captain." She giggled and smiled, pulliing-pushing Rivers along with her as she left the Ready Room with her new boss.

Green laughed lightly as they departed, her eyes going back to Song. "Well, Cyndi, I think that's just what the Captain needs. Another person she can commune with so she doesn't feel so isolated. It'll do her good."

"She's a hell of a pilot, we're lucky to have her," Cyndi said "A little bit of a hotdog and dare devil but she knows her stuff," Cyndi said "She has a bright future as a marine. I'll send General Long this report as well."

"Sounds good," responded Green. "I'll go find Kirk and tell her to get her small craft in order for atmospheric operations. I'll be back to the Bridge before we arrive. With your permission?" She chinned at the door.

"Permission granted, as soon as I send Narla Long a report I'll join you," Cyndi responded opening her lap top.

Giving her Commanding Officer a nod of acknowledgement, Green then left the Ready Room, heading directly across from the RR to the starboard lift. It will be a welcome change to aid a colony in a casual circumstance, thought Green as the lift began to move.

OFF:

OOC: I know the pilot thing went terribly fast crew, but that was the goal with her from the start and I just wanted it done for posting purposes. Thank you, Sean
