Post Number 5 Leave Is Over

ON:

Cyndi, Paul and Brent had enjoyed several days on the planet Pegasus, Brent had been enthralled with the swans. As Cyndi packed up the duffels that they’d brought Paul was out with Brent letting the little boy feed the swans.

Cyndi walked from the house and stored the duffels in the shuttle, walking over to where her husband and son were “Mum is on the way, she’ll be here in a matter of minutes.

“There she is,” Paul said pointing as the Klavorian shuttle came into view and touched down, minutes later the rear hatch opened and Cyndi’s mother stepped out and walked over.

Brent seeing his grandma ran to her, Tasha picked him up and hugged her daughter and son in law.

Cyndi hugged her mother back “Thank you mum for bringing him to see me. I’ve missed him far more than you can ever imagine.”

“I can always leave him with you,” Tasha said knowing what Cyndi’s answer would be

“He’s safer at home, an active starship is no place for him,” Cyndi replied hugging her son “You take good care of grandma okay? Remember mummy loves you.”

Tasha headed for the shuttle she turned long enough for Brent to wave goodbye to his parents before boarding the shuttle and in seconds it was gone.

“We better get back to the ship, are you okay?” Paul asked

“I will be, these few days have been what I needed and I’ll miss him waking us up in the morning and all the snuggles,” Cyndi commented taking Paul’s hand as they headed for the shuttle.

Boarding it Paul once again took the pilots seat with Cyndi in the co-pilots seat, Paul ran the flight check and fired the engines and lifted off. Heading for space and the Amandora. Landing a few minutes later Paul and Cyndi headed for their quarters.
