Posted on Tue Jan 4th, 2022 @ 8:23pm by Commodore Cyndi Song & Lieutenant Tara Herculoid PhD & Major David Hurd Senior & Lieutenant T’Mia Rahl & Lieutenant Commander Kristian Long & Lieutenant James McTavish & Lieutenant Alister McKeon & 1st Lieutenant Greg Jackson & Captain Alesha Rivers

Mission: Kidnapped
Location: Briefing Room

ON:

Hidden ship;

The ship lay hidden behind the moon of planet Pegasus and watched. Aboard already were several hostages and they needed just one more and this time it had to be someone who carried some weight and they had the next hostage in their sights and waited for the right time to make their move

Amandora:

Cyndi stepped onto the bridge, it fest good to be back aboard despite missing her son who was now on his way back to Klavor. "Communications open ship wide,"

"Your on commodore," came the reply

"This is Commodore Song will the following officers report to the briefing room, it's time we had a departmental report meeting. Commander Kahn, Doctors Bjorgo and Long, Major Hurd, Lieutenants McTavish, McKeon, Herculoid, Rahl and Yova, First Lieutenants Jackson and Rivers. General Long your welcome to join us as well if you like."

Lieutenant McTavish had just finished up some paperwork when he heard the Commodore's page. James grabbed his PADD and coffee then left his Office. Entering the Briefing Room James realized he was the first one to arrive "Commodore good morning" he said with a smile as he found his seat and set to looking over the information on his device.

"Good morning lieutenant," Cyndi greeted

Kristian had been enjoying breakfast with her mother when the call to report to the briefing room, "Well duty calls," Kristian said getting up "I'm curious to why the commodore included you mum."

"Guess we'll find out," Narla said as they made their way to the briefing room. Tara and Alesha had just entered with Alesha saluting Narla as she took a stance near the door. Narla returned Alesha's salute and gave her a look they'd talk later

"General," Tara greeted resisting the urge to call her aunt. Taking a seat next to James while Kristian slid into a seat with Narla walking up near the head of the table and took a seat.

T’Mia was going over counseling records when the call to join the meeting came through. Heading to the briefing room she smiled politely to all present as she entered. “Good Morning.” She took a seat and made herself comfortable.

Cyndi checked the time, "We'll get started and the rest can can catch up when they get here. We've not had a departmental briefing in sometime. Lieutenant Rahl how are things in the counseling department?"

Alister entered the briefing room sliding into a seat, “Sorry, was on a conference call with the Sector Chief,” he said as he looked over at Cyndi.

"Some things can't be helped lieutenant no problem," Cyndi said

Greg entered the briefing room still wearing load bearing equipment as he struggled to get his body and webbing into the chair muttering softly to himself he arranged the gear to allow him to fully sit in the chair, “Sorry ma’am was running an exercise on the holodeck when you called.”

"Lieutenant Jackson if you'd like to go to my ready room and remove your gear that is up to you," Cyndi said knowing the marines were always training.

T’Mia waited until everyone was settled before starting her report. “The Counseling department is currently pretty busy Captain, I have been updating senior staff personnel files. I need to catch up with those whose last reviews are going out-of-date. Fortunately it will coincide with Starfleet’s performance review time so I can combine the two to give you an overall picture.”

"Medical," Cyndi asked "Doctor Long if you can give a report while we wait for Doctor Bjorgo and if anything he needs to fill us in on he can when he gets here."

"Sick bay is fine, we've been giving crew physicals, routine things, a few kids with sniffles," Kristian said "And like the counseling office our crew physicals coincide with the annual requirements for Starfleet."

Before Cyndi could ask another question there was a bright flash of light and she was gone.

While the room was in complete shock and disarray an unfamiliar face appeared on the view screen "Amandora, allow me to introduce myself....I'm Commander Usher of the Klavorian Old Republican Guard.....if you ever expect to see the Commodore again alive....you will have your next in Command contact me at this frequency. You have one hour to comply" he stated as the view screen went blank.

The first officer was not present and the second officer had not arrived yet. Narla stood "Everyone calm down, I'm assuming command of this ship. To those who don't know me I'm Major General Narla Long. Make note in the logs that I've assumed command."

Liza was on the Bridge seeing to the weapons and defense systems, working with several Security personnel in doing so. She had recently returned from Trill, having been sequestered in the symbiote caverns so that Kahn could commune with those who had need for a new host, or were preparing for their first. The summons from Song came over the speakers so she handed off her PADD to a junior officer. The officer acknowledged the Commander's effort with a nod. Moving across the Bridge she then entered the briefing room in time to see Cyndi vanish in a brief flash of light, far quicker than any known transporter. Kahn had heard what the General said, reaching up and tapping her badge as the flag officer finished speaking. "Kahn to Bridge. Red alert!" Liza then looked to the Marine. "You are the senior officer aboard, Sir, and also a flag officer. I will not challenge your taking command."

"Perhaps you won't but you are the ship's first officer and command is by right's yours," Narla said "That being said Commander Kahn I turn command over to you, you know this ship and her crew far better than I do."

Bjorgo also stood flabbergasted, having seen his CO blip out of existence. He had been traveling the cosmos with Nira as she instructed him in the ways of the Universe, and how it was all connected. It had been quite inspiring and quite an education. But, now, here he was, back on Amandora. Having entered from the corridor he stood quietly and looked to the others with a casual air as the door shut behind him to enclose the briefing room.

“T’Mia was stunned, it wasn’t everyday the Captain of a ship vanished from a briefing. “We need to inform Admiral Sanderson that his wife has been taken.”

"Especially since this Usher said he was from the Klavorian Old Republic," Tara commented "Aunt Narla who gets that honor and shouldn't someone contact the rulers of Klavor?

“Have to give points for style,” Alister said from his seat as he pulled up information on his PADD, “Beaming a Starfleet CO from their own starship,” he gave a shake of his head, “I’ll pull everything we have on Old Republican Guard. Not sure I would have boldly announced who I was gives too much info to be used to trace but, a very bold or desperate plan.”

Alien Ship:

Cyndi materialized on the alien ship "I don't know who you think you are but holding me is an act or war, return me to my ship." as she reached into her pocket for her phaser

“Oh I wouldn’t do that Captain” A young woman stepped forward. “We wouldn’t want to have to harm you. Now hand over the weapon...it’s been disabled anyway so it’s of no use to you.”

Cyndi checked her phaser and found it was indeed useless, "What is the meaning of this?" Cyndi asked "You do know holding me is considered an act of war."

“I’m afraid I’m not the one to answer that” the young woman offered a smile, and looked towards someone standing behind Cyndi.

Cyndi turned to see who was behind her and found a phaser leveled at her "I demand you return me to my ship. And I want to know the meaning of this."

An older man stood before Cyndi about in this forties, slender, not very well shaven, his hair rather untidy, along with a scared face, and a raspy voice.

"Commodore, or should I say Princess, allow me to introduce myself....I'm Commander Usher of the Klavorian Old Republican Guard....but you can just call me Usher" he stated with an air of arrogance "I don't give a damn about your precious Federation or their stupid policies....as far as an act of war; the Federation should have worried about that a long time ago."

Cyndi placed her hands on her hips and glared at him "That old Republic disbanded long ago, long before my parents came to power. Since you know I'm a Princess then you also know you do answer to me. That being said I order you to tell me why your doing this and to return me to my ship."

==meeting==

Hurd entered the room and had caught the last of the transmission before it was cut. Fuming, he started to shake before he simply turned and left the room. It was time for a rescue mission, not time to negotiate, and Hurd would see the Commodore back alive and well soon, come hell or high water.

Having been told that she was to assume command by the highest rank on board, Liza slightly tilted her face upwards as she spoke, Hurd's entry and exit not having gone unnoticed. "Computer, Lieutenant Commander Kelliza Kahn assuming command of USS Amandora as 'acting captain'. Note time and stardate in the ship's log, effective immediately." With that finished, and part of her brain on Hurd and that look in his eyes as he had left, Kahn had given an internal sigh to herself. Old habits died hard, it seemed. "We're at red alert. Get to your posts and let's get moving on solutions and investigations."

Bjorgo cleared his throat to get the attention of the room. Not overt, just enough to cause eyes to look his way a moment. "Claiming they are from this Klavor Republican Guard is one thing. Could be a ruse to throw us off their scent." He then gave a crooked grin, showing his mirthful side. "Having said that, the other idea is to blast Klavor to pieces so that they're politics and infighting can no longer cause havoc, nor disrupt this ship and crew ever again."

Liza cocked her head. "Not funny, Tore. Alright, people, the order is given. Back to your posts." Spinning on her heel Kahn stepped back out the doorway she had entered from and arrived immediately on the Bridge. "All departments are to look into how they were able to beam our Commodore off this ship without being in sensor range." This was said to those officers still on the Bridge, all of them having been updated as to crew status by the ship's log. Every junior officer snapped to, despite shirt color.

Bjorgo gave a light, cynical shaking of the head as he spun, tossing over his shoulder. "I'll be in Sickbay." He departed the chamber.
