Mission: A Patrol and Supply mission
Location: Planet Surface Various Locations
Timeline: Current

ON:

Paul and Cyndi had spent several days in a cabin the woods on the edge of a small pond. It had been the break and rest Cyndi needed.

Cyndi had the chance to be a scientist for a few days and had collected a lot of data and samples for study on the ship. Her shuttle had been set to run scans of the surface, the water both above and below as well as the atmosphere, which included winds, air, and cloud formation along with the weight of the clouds and possible rainfall.

They’d finished breakfast and were packing up the cabin and stowing things in the shuttle.

“Let’s go to town now and do some shopping, I’d like to get a few things for our quarters and something to send home to Brent too,” Cyndi suggested

“You read my mind Cyndi,” Paul said taking a quick look to make sure they’d not missed anything before picking up the final duffel and followed Cyndi to the waiting shuttle.

Paul took the pilots seat and ran the fight check with Cyndi securing things and joined him in the cockpit as he fired the engines and lifted off and headed for town. Once there he set the shuttle down on a landing pad, shut things down. Got up from his seat and dropped the ramp.

Cyndi walked down the ramp and closed it, setting the alarm on the shuttle as she took Paul’s hand “This planet is almost too good to be true, it’s too perfect,”

“I know what you mean, when we get back to the ship and you start to go over the data and things you’ve collected you’ll know better. That shuttle your dad gave you has more science equipment on it than I’ve ever seen,” Paul commented

“Let’s get the shopping done and get a bite to eat and we should return to the ship. I do have a command up there,” Cyndi said as they browsed the shops and outdoor market purchasing several things that they could take with them and the rest would be sent to the ship.

After several hours of shopping “Let’s find a place to eat, my feet are sore from all the walking. Cyndi pointed to a sign that read BBQ Chicken You’ve Eaten. “Let’s give that a try, it’s open air and I’d just as soon enjoy the fresh air for few more hours before we’re back on the ship.”

The couple walked into the open air seating and took seats, the waiter came up and took their orders. He returned a few minutes later with plates piled high with BBQ Chicken and two margarita’s for them.

A short time later they’d finished their meals and wiped their fingers off on napkins and wet wipes “That was good,” Paul said as he tossed some money on the table for a tip. “We’ll have to come back here on shore leave sometime.” Getting to his feet he held out his hand to Cyndi “Anywhere else you’d like to go?”

“Let’s do a little more shopping, then head back to the ship,” Cyndi said as they walked deeper into the heart of the town.
