Mission:
BUGS OH NO!!
Location: Observation Lounge
Timeline: current
ON:
Green noticed Resch on the Bridge but allowed him to do his duties without interruption. He was an interesting individual and she wanted to get to know him better but there were places and times where that type of thing could be done. With Amandora injured she needed all the crew doing thier jobs. All this went through her mind as she scrolled through further reports. Medical had sent their reports, and the casualty list could have been much higher. However, while perusing the files she noted that there was no mention of Tore. She tapped her badge. "Green to Silk."
Sean's voice came through. "Silk here, Commander."
"I am going through reports and have found the medical portion. Refugee status and aid, all that, but no mention of Doctor Bjorgo." Green waited, knowing Silk may have to look around.
"He never showed up, Commander. The refugees beamed in and Tore wasn't with them. I assumed he was still with Kirk." Explained Silk.
Green's eyes hardened and her voice became clipped. "Thank you, Doctor. Green, out." Retapping her badge Ro proceeded. "Ensign Kirk, Lieutenant Herculoid, and Lieutenant Rivers. Report to the Bridge observation lounge immediately. Green, out." This time she hit the chair communications key. "Commodore Song, please meet me in the Observation Lounge. Out." She tapped it off and stood up, PADD in hand as she walked toward the Observation Lounge. "Mister Resch, you have the Bridge," she said as she disappeared behind the lounge doors.
"I..." Marcus began, but seeing Green bee-lining for the lounge made him hesitate until she was gone. "Yes, Sir." So, nothing for it, he turned from what he had been doing and went to the center seats, easing his arse into the command chair. Once settled he began to relax. First time for everything, he thought.

In the Observation Lounge Green took her seat in the designated XO chair as she awaited the others. Ensign Kirk came in from the exterior corridor entry and seeing Green she stood taller as she came to a halt at the far end of the table opposite her XO. "You wanted to see me, Commander?"
All Green did was chin towards the other chairs, a slight motion of waving her hand to show she wanted Kirk to sit down. "When the others arrive, Ensign. Take a seat."
Kirk could tell that whatever it was she was about to get her butt chewed during this meeting. As she sat she rifled through memories of recent events to try and distinguish why.
Cyndi had been in her ready room compiling a long and detailed report to command when she received Greens call. Puzzled as to what it was about headed to the observation lounge. Walking in she spotted Ensign Kirk already there.
Alesha had started to go check on her fighter when she heard the order to go to the bridge observation lounge. The bridge was a place she seldom went to and being summoned by the ships first officer was either good or bad. Acknowledging the order headed there and walked in just behind Tara.
Tara and Alesha took seats "Is something wrong commander, commodore?" Alesha asked.
Green sat up and forward, forearms resting on the table. "Plenty wrong, Lieutenant. First, we start with you Miss Kirk. As the leader of an Away mission you committed a fatal error. Doctor Bjorgo is not aboard the Amandora, nor is he aboard your Delta, according to maintenance reports from the shuttle 2 deck. That means that he is still out there," she motioned off-handedly at the viewport looking out at the stars. "Care to explain that, Ensign?"
Kirk's eyes widened in sheer surprise. "Doctor Bjorgo took me down with a nerve pinch and then had one of the refugees fly Delta 5 away from the freighter. Tore must have stayed behind. With all that was going on I assumed he would call when he was ready for pick-up."
"Well, he didn't," stated Green. Tore was an Augment, this was true, and capable of taking care of himself. But, Ro's reasons for the worry were two-fold since they had become romantically involved a short while ago. However, that part of it she stowed away. "The circumstances with which this all occurred did have us in chaos BUT, a person still got left behind. A demerit will appear on your record, Ensign. Whether or not it becomes permanent depends on how you act and conduct yourself over the next three months. Remain where you are until I finish with the others."
That was when Green's eyes moved along the firing line to Alesha. "Lieutenant Rivers, you need to explain to me why you returned to the ship. There were no orders given to do so. You took out a cloaked Romulan ship, and with Romulan tactics that you claim to know well, there could have been more. And, as it turned out, there were. I thank God that they were on our side. Had they not been we wouldn't be here to discuss it. Aside from Romulans there were two other vessels facing off with us, and yet, you felt it was convenient to return to the ship. Why?"
"I returned to pick up more torpedoes as I knew we didn't have enough. As for taking out that cloaked ship," Alesha took a breath "The reason I knew where to hit them was back when my planet was at war with the Romulans I'd been taken hostage, one of two of the guards I over heard talking about the weakness with the design of the ship. They had no idea I''d heard them. I filed it away for future reference. Once I got more torpedoes I returned to the fighting. It was a well placed phaser beam while I was cloaked that took out the Romulan ship's engines."
"Damned foolish stunt too Alesha," Tara said.
"Lieutenant Herculoid, mind your place!" Said Green, the anger in her voice clear as she glared at Tara. Her eyes went back to Alesha. "You were the only fighter out there at the time. You should have asked for more to be launched and THEN return to re-up your weapons. You left the freighter, the Delta, and Amandora wide open for attack. As with Kirk you will receive a demerit in your file for your lack of insight on the battlefield. In three months the Commodore and I will review your status and decide whether or not it becomes permanent." Green ignored the story about how she knew where to hit the Bird of Prey since it was not relevant to the current meeting.
Green's intense blue eyes finally came to rest on Tara. "Lieutenant Herculoid, internal sensors have you down in the shuttlebay where Alesha landed. You then proceeded to chew her butt like a cadet. She is an adult and a department head. WE," Ro's hand did a thumb motion quickly back and forth between herself and the Commodore. "Decide when a chewing is necessary. Everything you had to say to her could have waited for the appropriate time since it was more personal than job related."
Green paused and it showed that something had caused her throat to catch and it took her a moment to get it under control. Her chin dimpled a moment as if she was going to put forth a sob but it faded quickly as she recovered. "I'm sure that all three of you are unaware of our losses. Zenni and Kahn are gone, killed during the attack and damage control duties. We have 10 others who were killed, and now a missing doctor. Tara, your mistake isn't harsh enough to require the demerit, but should you make a mistake like that again I will make it happen." With all that put out Green stopped and glanced at her CO. "Do you have anything to add, Commodore?"
"Commander I ordered Rivers to launch her fighter wing. Rivers how many of your fighter were out there?" Cyndi asked
"All six commodore as well Kirk's Delta," Alesha responded "I ordered two to guard the ship."
"As for Herculoid she and I have had a talk and I'm sure the only reason she chewed Rivers out was out of concern and friendship. Something that should have been handled by myself and or Commander Green," Cyndi said "While I understand your concern for your friend Commander Green and I are the ones who make the hard calls. I trust all three of you will remember that in the future."
"I heard there were deaths and injured but not how many we've lost," Alesha said "Commander, Commodore you have my deepest apologies over my actions."
"I did go see Alesha and yes I did chew her out for the stunt she pulled. Was I wrong? Yes and it won't happen again. She's a friend."
Seeing that her concerns were for naught, and excuses were being made for those mistakes, Green remained poker-faced and stoic. "Fine, I'll retract the demerits, for both of you. The Commodore has your back and I will support her decision." She stood up and collected her PADD, while glancing around the table. "I live by a certain philosophy presented to us by the Vulcan culture. 'The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one'. The meeting is adjourned, dismissed and carry on."
'Jim' Kirk stood up slowly, halting in place as she stepped away from the chair she had occupied. "Commander Green, I would like the opportunity to make up for my mistakes. Let me grab another officer and get back out there. The freighter was heading for that asteroid last I saw and Bjorgo with it. I'll need Rivers to cover us with herself and a wingmate while we get to that freighter and find out what is what. Nathan, the refugee who flew the Delta, said Tore...Doctor Bjorgo, mentioned something about redemption."
"My fighter should be repaired by now, let me make up for my mistake in judgement, get back out there and find the doctor," Alesha said getting to her feet. I'll scramble a wing man and we'll look for the doctor."
"As for the demarts both of you consider yourselves lucky the commander had a change of mind. They should have stood. Your both on notice, any more fool hardy stunts and a mark will be placed in your files," Cyndi said.
Green went to comment and then she grabbed the headrest on her chair as she stood behind it, as if to balance herself. Her eyes closed and a look of pain crossed her face as a tear from each eye escaped from under her eyelids. Before opening her eyes she said softly, "Tore is dead. I felt his passing through the Core. And...something else." Her eyes opened and she swiped the tears away. "I Sense something familiar, something dark." Looking at Song. "Cyndi, I need to go with Kirk. If you feel you can do without me on the Bridge, of course."
Hearing the comment about Tore being dead, Cyndi gripped the armrest of her chair. Standing she looked at Ro, "Permission granted but I order you to return, alive. No foolhardy stunts. Rivers you take one other fighter, keep Kirk's fighter protected at all costs. Ro what are you sensing?"
"A presence, one I feel I should know," answered Ro. "If my feelings are correct then it is a presence we both know. It feels like..." She trailed off a moment.
"Feels like what?" Asked Kirk, not understanding.
Green looked Song directly in the eye. "If I didn't know any better, it feels like Jynxza. But, she is darker, more sinister, and why it took me some time to figure it out. She is on that asteroid and I have a feeling Tore's end was her doing."
"Jynxza? If she killed Tore I want her alive, Rivers your to keep that Delta in your sights at all times. Ro I want a open channel with me at all times." Cyndi said
"Commodore, commander let me pilot Alesha's fighter, I am certified that way Alesha can go as well and help protect the commander." Tara asked.
Ro was on board for any decision, but she gave a warning. "Do not get between Jynxza and I. She will not hesitate to destroy anything that stands in her way. I exiled her to Chulak and stripped her of her position and title of Champion, and took her saber from her. If it is me she wants, it will be me she gets. As for taking her alive, I cannot guarantee it. Beings like her would rather go down fighting than be captured, and they usually have a backup plan for going out with a bang."
"Commander I won;t let her kill you," Alesha said looking at Tara "I've had more torpedoes loaded on my fighter. If they agree get into a flight suit and meet me in the hanger bay."
"I'll be ready, Commodore, Commander with your permission." Tara said
"This is the commander's call," Cyndi said placing a hand on Ro's shoulder "I owe you more than you know. You be careful and that's an order."
Green gave them all a solemn nod. "I thank all of you for your support. You owe me nothing, Cyndi. Friends don't owe, we do because we want to do. The Akira is still out there and we need to secure that Curry class carrier that is now drifting. Amandora should see to those issues while we move in on that asteroid. That is my recommendation." She looked to the other three. "Kirk, get 5 ready for lift off. Rivers, Herculoid, the fighter will be our ace. Stay cloaked until we find a way inside. Go now, I am right behind you all."
Green needed to stop by her quarters and gather her sabers. If Jynxza wanted a fight then she had to be prepared for any contingency.
"I'm on it," Tara said. "Alesha I'll take good care of her."
"I know you will your as qualified as I am. You just chose science. Kirk I'll meet you on the Delta and I'll come armed."
"You all be careful," Cyndi said "I have enough letters to write I don't want to do anymore."
Green could not help but grin just before doing something unexpected. "You'll have help, Cyndi." She gave her CO a warm hug, then Alesha and Tara. Kirk had already left, as was her way. "Ensign Marcus Resch is your new Yeoman, and he is currently sitting in your chair." With that tidbit voiced Green turned and headed for the door to the exterior corridor. No need to cross the Bridge and cause a disturbance as she stepped into the turbolift and disappeared.
Cyndi walked onto the bridge "Ensign I'll take over now and thank you for keeping my seat warm."
