Mission: BUGS OH NO!!

OOC: Not all are on the Bridge, such as West. This is so they can see what is being written in a Bridge JP and post on their end accordingly for continuity. If you want others you may play added, just let us know. TY, your friendly, neighborhood XO :)

“I’m sure, my crew needs me,” Cyndi said brushing away a few more tears as she walked onto the bridge just in time to see Ro step on and waive Nira off who had started toward her. Ro’s eyes were still puffy from crying. Walking over to her “Ro, there are no words I can say to make you feel better. We’ll get her and she’ll pay, you have my word on that.”

Rogue, the moment the Commodore came out of her Ready Room, knew she would come and say something in regards to Tore. Not everyone knew of their relationship, something she and Tore went to great lengths to keep on the down low. However, to be upset over the mourning of others would be counter productive so, when Song said her piece Green looked at her. "Thank you, Cyndi. As for Jynxza, she will be found when it is time to be found. Vengeance is not the Meji way, nor is it the Starfleet way. Right now, we need to focus on the Akira and what O'Connell has going on. The fledgling Romulan Republic will definitely be receiving Federation diplomats after this. They fought with honor alongside our own."

Nira noted the stoic look on Green's face, knowing it well. She was hurting, deeply, but she would not show that to the crew. Just looking at the Commander one could tell she had already shed her tears for the lost. "My sympathies, Commander Green." That was all Nira would say. Later, in a more private setting, they would discuss it if Ro felt the need. She had been one of the first to know about Green taking Bjorgo as a mate since they were best of friends and always told each other such things. Had Nira lost Sean then she would feel the same way. Thankfully, Gaia had kept her mate safe.

Cyndi nodded "I know and I do understand the pain of losing a mate, there was a time when I thought I'd lost Paul, the only thing that kept me going was our son," Cyndi said softly "We will find her and when we do she'll stand trial for this. The Romulan Republic will be trusted allies, they didn't have to assist us and yet they did and for that I'm eternally grateful. If you need time to grieve you just say the word. We do have Brisco and his people on the stolen Akira ship and an away team on the Romulan ship out there and Dr. Long is caring for two infants in sick bay."

Green gave a raised eyebrow, very Vulcan-like. "Two twins?" Then her face went back to normal, yet with a look of having had an epiphany. "That's what she was talking about," Said Ro, her eyes coming back to full focus as she looked at Cyndi. "Commodore, those are Jynxza's children. She told me herself they had been captured."

Cosmo came rolling onto the Bridge and bleeped and whistled happily upon seeing Rogue. "Cosmo!" Green went to a knee and rubbed the little dome body of Cosmo like a long lost friend. "Good to see you, buddy." She knew he would ramble on so she held a hand up. "Tell me of your adventures later."

Standing and facing the Commodore once again Green gave a slight blush. "Sorry. I miss him when he's gone."

"That's understandable, he's a trusted companion," Cyndi said "The twins were not captured, I had that shuttle brought aboard to keep it from being harmed should another fight break out. We probably should return them to her. Question is do we trust her enough to have them placed back on the shuttle that she won't attack us again."

Green thought on that a moment before answering. "Yes. Call it our olive branch. We have no right to hold those children hostage. Or, to use them to get to her. That would make us no better than Jynxza herself."

"I would have to agree, Commodore." Said Nira.

"As do I, she has a right to her children," Cyndi said turning to communications "Hail Jynxza."

Nira tapped the keys, then looked up. "Hailing on all channels, no response."

Ro gave knowing nods to herself. "She won't answer. It's just another excuse to hate. However, letting them go their way would be the proper course of action, no matter the feelings." Her eyes hardened a moment. "I want...wanted my own children, not raising someone else's."

Tapping her com-badge "Doctor Long report to the bridge," Cyndi called as she looked at Ro, "You'll love again, it won't happen overnight but you'll be a mother someday," she said keeping her voice low.

A few minutes later Kristain stepped onto the bridge, "Commodore, commander everything okay?"

"Overall, yes, Doctor," Green responded. "We are deciding to let the infants go. To put them back on their ship and let it resume its course to wherever it may."

"They're healthy and I've checked them over. I'm not sure about setting them adrift again," Kristian said.

With a bit of thought she raised her hand to excuse herself a moment so Long and Song could talk, stepping to the side and tapping her badge. "Ensign Kirk, Green here."

"That may be doctor but they are to be returned to their mother. We'll monitor it and if she does not take after it then we'll tractor it back aboard. They are Jynxga's children," Cyndi said "She has a right to have them returned."

"Understood commodore I'll get them ready," Kristian said

"Go ahead, Commander." Answered Kirk.

"I need you to prep the Romulan runabout for departure," ordered Green. "And, we need a pilot to get it underway on its original programmed course before beaming back."

Kirk responded confidently. "I'll see to it, Commander. Kirk,
out."

Green had returned to the conversation. "I understand your feelings on this, Doctor. You are the CMO, therefore we are asking you to let this happen. I know it goes against your medical ethics to do so but we are not in the habit of capturing children to effect greater change. Will you work with us on this?"

Nira stood at the Tactical station, awaiting the Doctor's response. She knew very well how obstinate Long could be when it came to medical directives and protocols. But, this was a unique situation.

"I'm not happy about this, they're babies and I'm sworn to protect lives, but you are right. I'll get them and place them on the round about," Kristian said

"We will monitor it doctor," Cyndi said "That you have my word on."

"Thank you, Kris," said Green, giving a slight smile. "I really didn't want to argue up here." Even though Cyndi was standing right there Ro leaned in towards Long and did the half cover of her mouth into Long's ear, all for humor, as she spoke in a low tone that everyone could hear. "The boss might not like that." Giving a giggle she stood up straight again and gave Song a wink to show she was being cheeky.

"Okay you two," Cyndi giggled "Doctor get the babies on the round about and once it's ready we'll launch it. Nira once it's launched hail her again and let her know the babies are back in space."

Kristian nodded "I'll go get them."

Nira acknowledged the order and stood ready.

Green gave Long a friendly squeeze to her upper arm before she left, a way of thanking her again for her cooperation. Once all that had been decided Ro got Cyndi's attention to discuss another matter. "Commodore, I need to bring up something. Our guest, Ainkara, gives me a feeling of unease. I would like permission to move her to a VIP suite that is locked down, and have a 24 hour guard. If she leaves her quarters she is to go escorted, or not at all. May I see to this matter?"

"She's had me a little unnerved as well, permission granted," Cyndi said.

Green gave a curt nod and spun on her heel as she made way for the starboard lift. She entered and vanished from the command deck. On her way to Sickbay she stopped at a weapons cache and brought out a phase pistol in a tactical belt /holster, strapping it on. Making sure the weapon was set to heavy stun she re-holstered it and set the belt right on her hips. Her saber was in her quarters and really unnecessary at this juncture.

Elsewhere on Amandora, in the deepest, darkest area of machinery, a small pile of dust began to glow. Mating had begun once they had taken in enough nutrients to procreate. The pile of dust, the colony of silicon based insects, began to move across the floor and go up a wall towards a power conduit. To the outside observer it would look like some kind of fine powder, slightly crystalline as the carapace of the insects refracted light similar to a dung beetle. Without the scans to say otherwise it would look like powdered sand crystals. The hive mentality worked together for the betterment of all, though that intelligence was basic and instinctual. However, for what looked like a pile of dust its contents did move rather quickly. If they spread themselves out thin they knew it prevented their detection that much more.
