Mission: Character Development
Location: briefing room
Timeline: current

ON:

Having several appointments to see to, Commander Green sat at a table in a tertiary briefing room. She had sent out summons for those she needed to speak with, and however they showed up would be how she would speak to them. Ainkara had requested to meet with Green, as had Silk and Nira, so each party had received a summons to let them know Ro was available to speak with.

The first to arrive, and the first summoned, was Lieutenant Jamie T. Kirk. Before she could stand to address the Lieutenant, Commander Green heard the door chime. "Enter," she said as she stood up and moved over to properly greet those coming through the door.

Ainkara had been standing outside the briefing room for a mere second, long enough to tap the chime key, with Silk and Nira coming up behind her even as she hit the key. When the door slid open she entered, with Nira and Silk right behind her, entering even before they were asked to do so.

"Please, everyone, come on in," said Green with a bit of snark in her voice. There were apologies given for the rush which Ro waved off. "Okay. Since y'all want to take up all my space at once, we'll address why we're all here. I'll start with you, Kirk. Due to your rather strange transformation, spoken from your own lips, you are NOT the Kirk who belongs to this Universe. That is a Security risk we cannot simply ignore. Add to that the fact that Starfleet Intel wants a chance to chat with you, extensively, about the Mirror Universe. So, there is a runabout on its way. It's either take a trip with them and spend time with them, or a penal colony. Not my call I just get to pass it on."

Kirk had known for a while now how Green felt about her mish-mash of Universe existance. And, truthfully, it was a Security risk. "I won't fight you on this, Commander. I know the cost of what has transpired."

"Cadet Ainkara," Green switched targets, her voice tone going back to a friendlier sound. "What can I do for you?"

Not expecting Kirk to receive such a forthright meeting, Ainkara made sure to maintain herself in a perfectly neutral stance. "I am requesting I be allowed to continue my cadet training at the Academy, Commander. I want to be around other students, to experience the Starfleet Academy as it should be."

"I'm sure the Commodore would say the same thing, Ainkara. You'll be missed. Would you like to return to Amandora once you finish the Academy?" Green raised her eyebrows askance.

"I would find that agreeable, Commander."

"Then, we'll have you head back to Earth with Kirk and her entourage." Finished with that little piece of social dalliance, Ro's eyes moved to Nira and Silk. "As for you two, what do you need?"

Both seemed a bit nervous to speak, each glancing at the other a couple of times before Nira just came out and said it. "We are asking for time off, Commander. An extended vacation so we can take Sera home to Andromeda and let her be with her people for a few months."

Green's eyebrows raised in surprise. "A few months? Does this mean you're considering leaving Starfleet?"

"It's not off the table," answered Silk. "But, it could happen while we simply enjoy living. We are requesting a leave of absence for the sake of family, Commander."

Ro was taken aback by it all. Four people leaving the ship, possibly to return some time in the future. "All requests are accepted and approved." Once they were approved and sent on to inform the CO, the group stood around talking for a few minutes. Like with any corporation, there would always come those times when people needed an extended break, and after this past mission, Green was not opposed to letting people relieve steam their own way.
