Cyndi to say was livid over what had happened in the holo deck was an understatement. Something had gone terribly wrong and she wanted answers. Tapping her com-badge "Will the following officers report to the conference room. Commander Raymond, Lieutenant Saunders, Lieutenant Raymond, Doctors Bjorgo and Long,Lieutenant Kordell, Captain Hurd and Lieutenant Kahn, and Lieutenant Nige."

Lieutenant jg Kordell arrived first as he was finishing up his permanent move to the station as Assistant Security Chief.

" Commodore I was asked by Captain Leaf to help you with this investigation. I assume the new security chief will want to run the investigation but let me remind you that this is now a station security issue as well." Kordell said Klingoningly.

“Commodore I request permission to begin the investigation? " Kordell inquired.

"I'd like it to get started too, but I want to wait for the others to get here and get their take on all of this," Cyndi said

Kristian checked on Riggs and made her way to the briefing room when she entered she was surprised to see Doctor Bjorgo had not yet arrived, taking a seat Kristian waited to see what this was all about.

Lieutenant Saunders arrived. He was carrying his silver stainless steel mug of black coffee. Today was a black coffee sort of day for him. "Commodore, Lieutenant's." Saunders offered rather unusually no smile or friendliness. Taking his seat, he sat at the conference table, with his padd.

Will Raymond popped in. Refreshed from his parasite bite, Will queried as to the details.

" I apologize for being out of it folks. An alien tick decided to take up residence in my neck. Where are we at with the investigation? What happened?" asked Will.

"I'm waiting on Captain Hurd, Doctor Bjorgo, Lieutenant Raymond, Lieutenant Nige, and Lieutenant Kahn," Cyndi said.

" Commodore every second we wait we lose opportunity to discover the truth. The evidence could be tampered with or anything." Kordell added.

Cyndi commented "While Lieutenant Kordell is eager to get the investigation started I would like to wait a few more minutes for the ships Counsellor, security chief,Captain Hurd who was badly injured, the CMO and the operations chief to see if they've noticed anything out of the ordinary. I'm not happy this happened either and let me assure you lieutenant the holo deck that was being used is shut down and off line until I get answers that satisfy me," Cyndi remarked.

Hurd walked in, face red and puffy from crying. Seeing those assembled, he simply nodded, unholstered his .45, checked the clip, reloaded it. Hurd muttered under his breath, "Somebody is going to die a slow, agonizing death over this.".

"I want answers too, that never should have happened," Cyndi said

As soon as Tyran gave Logan a PADD with his orders to get his ops staff ready he entered the conference room with another PADD in Hand "Commodore im sorry im late I was giving my deputy Ops officer mr. McQueen his instructions "Tyran said.

Saunders turned to the Chief. "Lieutenant Tyran. Engineering is offering any support that you need in your investigation Sir." He looked around, "The same also for Chief of Security." He held his hands together on the conference table.

" Operations and Engineering is here. Can we now begin Commodore?" Kordell asked again.

Kahn and Bjorgo entered together, obviously in mid-discussion over a topic only they knew about. "Look, preliminaries show she isn't like us--any of us." As they came in Tore glanced around. "I'll show you later. Sorry for being tardy, folks. Scientific discovery is a must, after all."

Liza went to her spot, acknowledging all with a nod. "My apologies, as well. Security issues had to be looked into. I know the gist of what we're looking at--what happened. I have Security scouring the machinery and the logs for anything unusual. That data will be made available on a need-to-know basis. I've heard rumors of sabotage and that pisses me off."

"I've heard that, too. Of course, my hearing is better than most, so it stands to reason." Bjorgo gave a nod and grin as he finished.

" Ok folks, Commodore the floor is yours," the XO interrupted.

"First off Captain Hurd I will find out who is behind this and when I do they will pay. How are you doing? I hate to lose anyone, here's what I know. Captain Hurd called a friendly match in the holo-deck, every safety protocol was in place. Yet for reasons unknown barbed wire, the real stuff was in the ring in the holo-deck. We all know how dangerous that stuff is along with the barbed wire being electrified. Captain Hurd ended up with a badly injured back and a dead marine," Cyndi said turning to Long "Doctor Long you mentioned something about a way to save him, was that successful? Secondly Lieutenant Kordell suspect sabotage as do several of you. I concur there had to be and it had to be someone who knows the ship's systems. Lieutenant KOrdell has transferred over to Starbase Mercury. I want answers, LIeutenant Kahn work with Lieutenant Kordell and see what the two of you can find, Lieutenant Saunders scour engineering and see what the hell happened, operations I want to know how this happened, was there a power surge anything that could have caused this. Doctors Long and Bjorgo check the holo deck for any DNA that will give us answers."

"Commodore," Kristian spoke up "Lieutenant Riggs body was far too damaged for me to save him., the amount of current that went through is body fried his internal organs. I'm sorry but there was nothing I could do. The technique I learned on Dinobula would have worked had the organs not been fried."

"His death is unfortunate, Kristian." Bjorgo counseled. "But, we are in the business of death, don't let those emotions logjam your conscience." He reached out and gently squeezed her upper arm to show his support. Once that moment passed he then turned his attention to all. "Mister Kordell, Miss Kahn, I need that holodeck secured. No one in or out. Also, any of your personnel that were inside since the incident need to report to sickbay for a fresh DNA sample so Long and I can dismiss them as suspects. That includes the two of you, if you've been inside that chamber."

"Haven't seen it yet," stated Kahn. "Lieutenant Kordell?"

" Not since the matches. Commander Raymond then myself left together." Kordell replied

"Thank you Tore," Kristian said "I can't say it was my first death because it wasn't," Kristian commented "I do have the scans I took of Captain Hurd and Riggs, I'll make sure both Lieutenant Kahn, Kordell and Tore get a copy of them. Riggs body is in the mourgue awaiting next of kin to be notified."

" Where is Amethyst it is not like her to miss one of these?" Will asked aloud.

"Perhaps the youngling has her attentions?" Asked Bjorgo, thinking logically.

Liza looked at Will. "Commander Raymond, she's your spouse. Have there been indications of difficulty. I can have a Security team sent out to look for her, if you wish."

" That's a good idea. Yes please," Will replied.

Saunders had also found it strange that Lieutenant Raymond had not reported. Pausing for a moment, he had replied. "Engineering will seek what led to the power discharges in the holodeck, that level of energy should not have been able to be routed through, even with safeties." Saunders found it odd.

"I did send a message to her to report and never heard from her. It's not like her to miss a meeting," Cyndi commented "Whoever did this has to know the workings of the ship and that has me edgy."

" Commodore with your permission I will go down and check on Amethyst?" Will requested.

"With what happened in the holo-deck the only way I'll permit you to go is with security," Cyndi replied as she turned to Kahn "Lieutenant please escort him or assign someone to go with him."

" Commodore I will go with Commander Raymond. " Kordell volunteered.

"As will I," stated Kahn. She tapped her badge. "Kahn to Security." The watch desk answered. "Two person teams, stun batons and tricorders only. We need a search done for Lieutenant Amethyst Raymond. I also want a team to meet us at her quarters. The Commodore also needs a fully armed escort. Thank you, Kahn out." She gave a few nods in the positive as she glanced around at them all. "There we are."

Will led the way to the turbo lift with a lump in his stomach.

Cyndi looked at Captain Hurd "We will get answers that I assure you." she then looked at her assembled officers. "Any questions or comments?"

Damien had no comments. He was anxious to get back to Engineering and see what, if any, systems were tampered. He'd run a level 4 diagnostic on the EPS power taps on all decks, specifically leading to holodeck one. He clasped his hands together, and readied from his seat.

Hurd left the room without saying a word. Once he was out of earshot of the others, he tapped his combadge and said, "Captain Hurd to Marine Ops, mobilize QRF, we need to locate Lt. Amethyst Raymond, this is a Code Red order, full Battle Rattle, Hurd out." Proceeding to the nearest turbolift, he tapped in the commands to take him to her last known location, the troubling thought that things were about to go from bad to extreamly bad playing though his mind.

Daniel asked a question "do we know how the corporal died or who his killer is ?" he said.

"All we know is someone tampered with the safety protocols on the holo deck causing it to be electrified," Kristian said

"Okay people you know what to do, let's find out what the hell is going on, find out what happened in the holo-deck and find Lieutenant Raymond. I want answers, I'm not looking forward to telling General Long about the death of one of the marines," Cyndi said standing "Dismissed."

~ Meanwhile in the Counselors Office ~

Amethyst lay on her office floor, heavily sedated and unconscious. The only visual clue to her predicament was her feet, which were the only part of her that was visible from the doorway.
