Cyndi after receiving new orders sent a message to all department heads to meet in the conference room. Cyndi walked in with a tray of pastries and set them on the table while she waited for her officers to arrive.

Hurd was doing busy work when he received the Commodores message. Sweeping the padd and everything else off his desk and into the floor, stood and left. Walking through the conference room doors a few moments later. Nodding at the commodore, be said, "Good Day Commodore, how are you?"

"I'm well major how are you doing?" Cyndi asked

Alesha walked in "Major," she greeted taking a stand near the door

Tara and Kristian had been having breakfast together when the call came in. Walking in they took seats.

Kirk and Resch came in as a pair since their stations were right there on the Bridge.

Following them in a few moments later was Green, taking her seat as Jim and Marcus did.

Barnes had no idea why he was called to the staff meeting, but being the marine he was he got up from his bed, set his book aside, and made his way 'upstairs'. On the way he ran into Shannon and they began to walk together, with Money congratulating him on his CWO promotion. Both walked in and took seats at the end of the table opposite the CO's.

"We're waiting for a few more to arrive before I begin,"Cyndi said

O"Connell was working in Engineering when the call came in for a Staff Meeting and quickly walked into a nearby Lift "Deck 1" and he was soon on the bridge going to the Briefing Room "Good Morning everyone" he stated then grabbed a seat "Commodore if I might suggest you to include Lieutenant SanChez in this meeting also since she'll be running the day to day operations in Security."

Lieutenant Zolon heard the call and grabbed her PADD and quickly made her way to the meeting. Walking she smiled and took a seat .

West strode in to the room, not sure exactly why the Captain needed both the CO and XO of the Marines present, but he also wasn't one to question orders, at least not these kinds of orders.

He nodded toward Hurd, who nodded back. The man had been...different as of late, like he was trying something new from the hot tempered fellow he usually was. West supported it. The last thing a Marine detachment needed was more drama.

Ensign Ocha walked in next, his brow furrowed in confusion. He wasn't sure why the Captain has included a lowly Botanist in the briefing, but he certainly wasn't going to turn down a chance to visit another world. Hi scanned the room out of habit, not picking up anything out of the ordinary or particularly noteworthy, though the room practically dripped with anticipation.

"Good thinking commander," Cyndi said tapping her com-badge "Lieutenant SanChez report to the conference room."

Lieutenant JG SanChez heard the call to the Briefing Room not knowing why she was being called but hustled none the less. Walking in she looked around and noticed the Chief motioning her to come sit next to him.

"SanChez I asked for you to be included in these meetings since for all practical purposes you're running the show. Just make sure you watch your language...how you present yourself reflects on me" Jamie instructed.

Maria grinned "Don't worry Chief, I've got you back" she replied but Jamie was a little skeptical none the less.

Cyndi activated the viewer "We received orders to head to Star Base 154, they’ve stopped reporting in and three star ships that were sent to see why each of them have not reported in. Our job is to see what happened to the star base and the three ships. All ships and the star base are intact and undamaged. There is no one aboard, escape pods are all accounted for. The ships are The USS Horizon, she's a Nebula Class, The USS Victory she's an Akira Class and The USS Ohio she's a Vesta Class. This is going to be all hands on deck. I have no idea how long it's been since they last were heard from. But headquarters wants answers. There is a small solar system near where the star base is that too will be looked into."

As the Commodore finished speaking Barnes saw Miss SanChez enter and take a seat. With everyone here he felt he could speak up. "Commodore, you're saying we have preliminary scans of the system and sector, a probe sent through being my guess. If it gave us data in regards to ship and base status, what about the crews for each? Any indication they're all trapped on their respective commands, or are there no signs of life on any of them?"

"Good question," said Green. "Are there any indications of life from the crews, Cyndi?"

"According to my information there is no one aboard the ships or the base. It's as if they just left. Escape pods are accounted for," Cyndi said The probe didn't venture into the solar system only the base and the three ships. The ships are all still in dock. They seem to be fully operational just empty."

Green looked towards Jim. "Kirk, all shuttles are to be ready for action, post-haste. Get Euphrates prepped for extended use and use it as your command platform for the others." Once those orders were given Ro looked back to Cyndi. "Makes me hesitant to take Amandora too close to the facility at first. What happened to them could very well happen to us."

Kirk had given a nod of acknowledgement, then began to press keys rapidly on her PADD, sending the orders down the line to her people. Teri Kirk, within the old Jim Kirk, was impressed. Jim had been right, these people responded to threats with precision and focus, their strength being their solidarity. With each passing day she was growing to like it.

O'Connell spoke up as Second Officer "I agree with Commander Green, we're going to need a lot more data before we even attempt any direct contact with the Base or the Ships" then he paused "I would advise that the Shuttles use extreme caution when approaching with the command shuttle staying in constant contact with them" Jamie explained being a little nervous on this one.

"Agreed," Ro responding to what O'Connell was saying. "We need caution here. Three of the best classes of starship in Starfleet and they are now barren, along with their port of call."

"That's what bothers me," said Resch. "Commodore, you said all three vessels are docked with the starbase. Why? If they came searching for answers to lack of communication, why would they dock? My theory is that whatever is going on starts at Starbase 154."

"We need better scans," stated Money. "If Rivers is not opposed I say we do a scouting run in the fighters and run complete scans of the entire facility and the ships docked. Let us be the probes for Amandora."

While listening Green had tapped a text on her PADD during O'Connell's addition. While the others added their responses Cadet Ainkara came in and walked up behind her chair, coming to stand at a casual parade rest. Ro had turned her chair slightly enough to look over her shoulder and nod at her arrival.

Ainkara, having been sent the data on the situation and the summons by Green, stood quietly while the others conferred.

"Doctor Long status of the medical shuttle?" Cyndi asked

"It's ready, just say the word," Kristian responded

"Word is given, in addition to the Euphrates I want the medical shuttle out there just in case it's needed. Money and Rivers you'll take the fighters out, scout the area and report back. There is no reason why three star ships and a star base are deserted. Until we have a better handle on things when going over onto the ships or the base everyone will wear EV suits until proof is given that there is no contagion. Away teams are as follows, Major Hurd you'll take 10 marines over to The USS Victory, Captain West take 10 marines over to The USS Horizon, Commander O'Connell take a security detail over to The USS Ohio, Barnes take a detail over to the base.Any questions?" Cyndi asked "The rest of you will be going over once things are deemed safe."

West stood at full attention as he received his orders. "Aye aye, Captain." He said simply.

Lieutenant Zolon spoke up "Commodore Science will be ready should you need any samples analyzed.....I'm quite familiar with the science behind contagions."

Jamie leaned over to Maria and whispered "So you got this covered then" he queried knowing the answer already.

SanChez grinned as she whispered "You bet your ass Chief " she replied just having the need to swear at least once as Jamie just grinned and shook his head.

"Once I receive reports from the away teams that the three ships and base are clear then science, engineering, operations will head over to check things out. Herculoid with your minor in communications as well science and diplomatic functions your going to be going over to the base. Commander Green you'll be in charge of the Amandora. I'll be going to either the base or one of the ships to see if I can access the captain's logs," Cyndi said.

"Money and I will be ready commodore,"Alesha said.

Ro had stood up, but needed to ask a question of Ainkara, and why she had had the Cadet come up. "Cadet Ainkara, does this in any way remind you of Iconian tactics, or anything Iconian at all."

"There are similarities, Comnmander, but I cannot say for sure," Ainkara responded. "It is not unheard of for them to abscond with personnel from governments they consider rivals or enemies. They do so to add to their 'servant races' for study and eventual enslavement."

Ro looked around at everyone. "Keep that in mind, folks. We don't know what we're dealing with and anything is possible. And please, all of you, be safe." She gave Cyndi a direct stare for a moment telling her without words that that especially meant her.

Cyndi understood Ro's unspoken message, and nodded before continuing "Once the base and ships are deemed safe as I said away teams will be assigned. The captain's logs need to be downloaded and listened to. They'll hopefully give us an answer as to what happened as well. Ensign Ocha and Ainkara the two of you will be going as well. Does anyone have questions, concerns now is the time to voice them. Lieutenant Kirk once this briefing breaks up best speed to the star base."

"Commodore", Hurd said. "I would recommend a recon first, that is drop the ship out of warp a couple light years away and send in a shuttle or two filled with a Security and Marine detail first to scout the situation out." Hurd paused and continued, "No sense putting the ship at risk, and honestly something about this stinks, just cant put my finger on it".

"Shuttles will be used to take the away teams over. They won't dock until we know what is going on. The shuttles will beam the away teams over and stand by until word is given that it is safe for the ship to move closer. We'll be just out of transporter range," Cyndi said.

Green had stood there with her gaze locked on Hurd. When Song got done saying her piece she spoke. "Major, did you miss the part where the fighters are taking point to scout ahead? It's time you stop just hearing the briefings and start LISTENING to them." She was going to add a directive that went along with Cyndi, but also added to the groups. "Cadet Ainkara, you will be joining Chief Barnes and his group. That means full away team gear and armor. Suit up and wait in transporter room three for them to arrive." Her eyes went to Jackson. "Mister Barnes this is improvise, overcome, and adapt. She has skills that may prove useful to your team while on the starbase."

"All good, Commander," said Barnes. He stood and went around the table to Ainkara. "Let's go, Cadet." He had been both surprised and gratified for what Green had said to Hurd. The man was off these days, something misaligned in his being, and as a leader himself that was a concern. Jack never even looked Hurd's way as he got up, gathered the Cadet, and left the room.

"Remember your assignments," Cyndi said "Anyone have anything else to add? If not your dismissed." Not hearing any further comments or concerns. Dismissed
