Mission:
Wedding Blues And Trouble
Location: Shuttle Bay
Timeline: Current
ON:
Cyndi tapped her com-badge, "Commander Green, Doctor Long, Lieutenants Montgomery, Johnson, Onak, Herculoid and Saunders please report to the shuttle Euphrates so we can find out what is going on over there.
Ro heard the summons over the shipwide comm and tapped her badge. "Green, here, Commodore. On my way. I'll be bringing an old friend you might recognize. Out." She tapped off with Cyndi, and re-tapped. "Commander Green to Chief Nira." Since it had been a while since their meeting, Nira had been seeing to Security and responded. "Go ahead, Commander." Ro grinned to herself. "Well, Chief, you get to say hi quicker than expected. Command meeting, main briefing room. Green out." She continued on her way, and upon arrival, entered the chamber. "Hello, Cyndi."
Cyndi walked into the shuttle bay "Nira! When did you get back? It's good to see you." (Nira is an NPC of Seans who will acting security chief until O'Connell returns)
Nira gave a nod and a smile. "You could say I just pop in, Commodore. It is good to see you, too." Stepping in closer Nira paused just before committing to the action she had in mind. "May I?" She asked, opening her arms as if to hug her CO, making sure it was okay first. Green watched as the Puazi, always one to be respectful, asked her query. She knew how much Nira loved and respected the Commodore, even referring to Cyndi as the Matriarch of the Amandora tribe on a personal level.
"Of course you can hug me," Cyndi said "I've missed you. There have been some new officers since you've been away
Kalina heard the intercom go off, she just gathered her go back and headed towards shuttle Bay it didn't take her very long to arrive and if he did she notice that others are already boarding the shuttle craft. She had wondered why they were using a shuttlecraft and not a runabout. At the moment it really didn't matter, they had a mission to complete when and with that in mind, she quickly and silently boarded the ship, and headed towards the cockpit area and with the big grin on her face and a duffel bag slung over her shoulder she said to herself. "Nice!"
For brief moment she forgot that she had the duffel bag around your shoulder, she started to undrape it and realize that there wasn't really going to be much room for it up in the cockpit so she walked over to a closet, and gently place her bag into it.
David got the summons as he assumed everyone else did. He headed on his way to the Shuttle Bay. He saw that others had gotten there ahead of him and there seemed to be a sort of family reunion going on. The captain was indeed right, it seemed. They were all one big happy family.
He saw Kalina and smiled for a moment, thinking of their meeting in the exercise room but then was reminded of Aleisha who had made him feel like the problem child. He needed to let that go, she was just probably a little anal retentive about her fighters. Others had been known to have little things they were crazed about. He supposed he must as well but he couldn’t think of anything at moment.
He had a bag that he placed at his feet. He had learned to go light so it didn’t take up a ton of room. He would put it in his lap if necessary.
Green, allowing for Cyndi and Nira to quickly embrace, then turned towards the runabout and the others, taking a slower half step in that direction. Body language worked on the subliminal level and the Commodore and Chief turned and began that way as well. As angles had it the Commodore ended up slightly ahead of the other two when they came to stand with the runabout away team. "Lieutenant Montgomery, Lieutenant Johnson, glad to have you aboard and with us." She shook both their hands. "This is Chief Nira, back from LOA. I've appointed her as acting Chief Tactical Officer. She held the position right before O'Connell so she is qualified and familiar."
“It is nice to meet you, Chief.” David said politely and shook both their hands. “I am glad to be here among all of you.” It felt good to be meeting some of the crew and going on this mission. It more cemented him as one of them.
Tara and Kristian walked into the shuttle bay together "Lieutenant Montgomery It's good to see you again." Tara said
""Welcome aboard I'm Kristian Long the CMO, I saw you at the briefing. It's good to see you again," Kristian said offering her hand
"I'll stow your gear Kristian," Tara said taking Kristian's bag and boarded the shuttle
"Lieutenant Herculoid." Kalina called out with an excited tone. It was very good to see her again. You know at some point he would have to tell her about the development between Alesha and David. That would have to wait everybody's mind need to be focus on the mission.
Tara hearing her name called turned to see Kalina, after stowing both hers and Kristian's gear walked over to where Kalina stood "Hi again, I heard you met my friend Alesha the wing commander."
"If I didn't know better you both get pass off of twins." Kalina said with a grin on her face. She wondered if we were related.
When Kalina spoke aloud her observation of the two, Green and Nira both did their own tongue in cheek face to try and remain stoic, sharing a glance said that they wanted to chuckle. It was momentary and smoothly done.
Tara couldn't help but laugh "Alesha is a brunette and I'm a blond. We look nothing alike. Her mum and dad are very good friends with my parents. Doctor Long and I are related. She's my cousin, my mum and her mum are sisters."
Green looked at Kalina, her head motioning another direction in the bay. "USS Mississippi has been restored, refurbished and updated to Amandora standards. As our Chief Helm officer you can name one small craft as your preference for missions, to specialize in a way you know best. I prefer runabout Euphrates because I and Cosmo have spent over 18 months getting her just the way I like her. You're the pilot, Nira is Away Leader. David, have you led an away team in service yet? As in, outside the Academy?"
Kalina thought it was adorable that her friend thought she looked nothing like Alesha. But the reality was she did, the canning resemblance was just remarkable she wondered if they were related. For the moment though she'd have to let that comment go they had a mission to complete and the first officer had just asked a question that she needed to respond to.
"Yes commander, the Mississippi was restored and she flies like a dream." Kalina said keeping her answer short and to the point, she needs sometimes if you ever talk people tend to look down on that. And after the fiasco in the gym she didn't want another repeat of that situation. She was young and a little naive. But she would learn from her mistakes.
Going along with the flow Green responded. "I will be in Euphrates, flying wing. Myself and two others. You lot get to that ship and dock with it. All starships have airlocks if they are carbon based. We will keep a bone lock on each of you and match course and speed. Lieutenant Montgomery and Nira will be team leads on this. Beaming in could set off an array of security systems at once, whereas overriding and entering through manual systems could get you guys on board and safe."
Nira nodded along, and when Green finished she glanced around at all. "Let's get going. All weapons on stun." Taking up an extra case of medpacks, Nira started off towards the USS Mississippi.
"Before anyone boards have Herculoid scan it to make sure the air is breathable," Cyndi said "She's acting science chief with Lieutenant Zolon away. I don't need to tell everyone to keep in contact with the Amandora."
David nodded at Green’s word’s. “Yes Commander.” He replied. He prepared himself, only pausing when the commodore spoke up. He waited to hear the commanders reply.
Giving the Mississippi away team a long look Green grinned. "Looks like the right group for the job. Let's get underway." Ro then looked to Cyndi. "We're the best in Starfleet, we'll see what's what, Commodore." As she finished that last statement Green had turned, and with a casual gait, moved towards the runabout Euphrates. Cosmo, her droid companion, was already aboard doing pre-flight and acquiring the bone locks on all the Mississippi crew.
