Mission:
Healing Touch-3
Location: Conference Room
Timeline: Current
ON:
Cyndi after getting word from the science department of a planet called Solaria in their flight path. Cyndi called her senior officers to meet in the conference room. The planet was worth having a look at. What surprises did this planet have in this new sector of space? Cyndi after leaving the bridge in the capable hands of the helm officer headed into the conference room to await the arrival of her officers.
Tabitha sat at her desk reviewing the evaluations for each crew member and making notes along the way of anyone that....well...seemed off when she heard the call for all Senior Officers.
Grabbing her PaDD she made her way to the Conference Room for her first official Senior Staff meeting. Walking in she gave Cyndi her customary greeting "Commodore, good day" as she chose one of the many empty seats.
Alister entered the conference room a mug of coffee in his hands as he slid into his normal seat, “Commodore,” he said giving her a nod of his head.
Smithers and Grainger followed the Commodore into the briefing room after Smithers turned off the Science Terminal that he was running on the bridge. They both nodded to the Commodore. After taking a seat next to Tara, Smithers took a look around the room.
Grainger was glad that Smithers was sitting next to Tara. Both of them still needed to get to know and get along with her. Some of the other Crewmembers in the room he had gotten to know some already.
Smithers knew that something was up and glad to be a part of the meeting. There were many planets to check out in this sector, and it should prove interesting due to what happened on Grainger's first mission to one of the planets. He nodded towards Tara and got his Padd out.
Kristian hearing the call for the senior staff to report to the conference room for a briefing grabbed a PADD and headed to the conference room, Walking in she nodded to Tara and the commodore and took a seat next to Tabatha.
Cyndi checked the time "I'll give Commanders Parker and Lieutenant Montgomery a few more minutes before I tell you all why you've been called here and at that time as you've all noticed we have a new officer. I'll introduce her to everyone at that time. Some of you may have already met her."
"I'll get started and I;ll fill in Commander Parker's and Lieutenant Montgomery later. Firstly let me introduce Lieutenant Tabatha O'Neil, she's our new Chief Counselor. She recently joined us. Secondly the reason for this briefing, science has discovered a planet in this sector. Lieutenant Herculoid what can you tell us about the planet" Cyndi asked
Tara activated a monitor that showed the planet. "Early scans show it to be pre-warp. I'm not picking up any major industries at all, Scans show it to be primitive, how primitive I can't tell."
Smithers spoke up Commodore I noticed the planet as well in my scans further into the system from the Bridge. Looking at Tara he added I can work with Tara to start doing more detailed scans.
Grainger added. Tara did you find any life signs on your scans? He then looked at Lt O'Neil with interest. Another new Crew member and a counselor as well.
Tara nodded there are life signs and as I said they are pre-warp and primitive. I just don't know how primitive. And I won't until we get closer."
"Sciences scan the planet and send out a probe, Since Lieutenant Sabbath has suddenly left without informing myself or Commander Parker that leaves Lieutenant Herculoid in charge of the science department. Reports will be sent to her. Doctor Long, sciences will share any information on the planet as they get it. Lieutenants O'Neil and McKeon once science has given me a full report on the planet I'll assign an away team."
Thinking for a moment then Tabitha addressed the room "Obviously if we are to go planet side we will need to dress like the locals. If they were to see us in our uniforms who knows what effect that may have on their mental acuity; we certainly don't want to cause them any mental anguish" she concluded.
"Good point Tabatha," Cyndi agreed "As soon as I know how primitive they are we'll replicate the proper attire and beam down. Any further questions or concerns" Cyndi waited for a few minutes. Not getting any "Okay your dismissed, everyone keep me apprised on things. If anyone has questions that were not discussed here my door is always open."
